gaffa p
a terrible terrible start by the ashes found themselves deservedly 2 nil down after 2 minutes, torpoint were exceptionally good for the first 20 minutes an we could not of grumbled if we was 3or4 nil down, ashes 2 our credit still tryed 2 play football an got themselves a lifeline with an arun west turn an strike. within seconds of the restart terrible defending again by saltash allowed a torpoint player run from one end of the pitch 2 the other and score a great goal to his credit but to great anger from the ashes bench. 3-1. this spured saltash on an got another goal back when maddock scored a peach from far angled shot. 3-2. on the fringe of half time a soft pen was awarded to torpoint but thankfully for us the lad missed. 3-2 half time, saltash very thankful...a quite stunning second half by saltash making several chances and stopping torpoints hold on the game, but then again a defensive slip by saltash player found themslves undesevedly 4-2 down. minutes after saltash made it 4-3 when a deep corner found lee withy with a back post header.. saltash pushed and pushed an couldnt get the equalizing goal which the large crowd and ricky cardew thought saltash desrved.. fantastic game to watch for the neutrals. GUTTED FOR SALTASH.well done to a probable champion winning side torpoint lomas sinclair butler withy o rourke west hoskings toull wellington carmichael maddock subs used jones philp saltash 3 torpont
ANDY 'B'
Yes Gaff P a great game of football to watch. Saltash must of thought whats going on, two down in as many minutes but give them credit they fought all the way. The game could of gone to any of the sides. A very even match. Looking forward to Boxing Day, 11am, when we all do it again at the Mill. Ricky and Steve has now got to get the lads prepared for Saturdays game, away to Parkway, which should also be a great game.
