Mr unorthodox Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Dobwalls 0 vs 3 Millbrook This was not a very close affair with Millbrook having most of the chances on a wet and greasy night at Dobwalls. Millbrook didnt get off to a good Start with a fairly open start to the match with Dobwalls having the first opportunity of the match with a one on one off effort wasted, being driven into James Gill. Millbrook picked themselves up and started to play some attractive football. this pressure resulted in lewis vines going through on goal and with a good appeal for a pen. the pressure mounted however with millbrook having several corners with curren taking advantage with a good volley inside the box. the second goal of the game came soon after with jamie preston poking home from close range. Dobwalls' chances were few and far between with only a long drive going shy of the post being the best of them. The second half saw Millbrook pick up from where they had left off with some good play down the right wing by dan gill and jason richards resulting in Dean Keaton Volleying in from the edge of the area leaving the Dobwalls Keeper with little chance. Millbrook continued with the pressure but it was dobwalls who came close with a lob attempted going over millbrooks bar. All in all a good match for the neutral fan with some good football being played and some fiesty challenges being made

ravo Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Well done dane, i know you dont help yourself sometimes, but it hard to find quality with nxt to nothing, i know that. keep it up.
The Gooner Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 I spoke to one of the Dobwalls committee who was at the game. He said Millbrook deserved their win because they were up for it and Dobwalls were not, they were a shadow of the side that played Truro although it was the same team involved. Can only get better.
