carbis bay friendly vs halsetown result

Recommended Posts

Halsetown 4 - 4 Carbis Bay Utd

This was the first friendly played by both teams and always going to be a physical game. Carbis Bay started a bit disorganised but understandable as it was the first time they'd played as a team. After 15 mis C.Bay took control and played some nice football and had most of the chances, Halsetown had a goal disallowed finished by steve west for offside after 20mins. Carbis bay then pulled together and scored 3 half decent goals before the whistle blew for h/t.

Second half, CBU came out a little to relaxed and Halsetown capitalised on this and piled on the pressure, it didnt take long and they had their first. 10mins later they were awarded a penalty for a silly handball off the line wich Ian Hodge sloted into left bottom corner 2-3. CBU then made some changes and seemed disjointed for a period of time, again Halsetown battled and scored a scrappy equalizer from Luke Bradford. The last 20 was very competative with hard challanges from both teams. CBU's 4th came from 30yrd freekick from Ross Stevens, keeper saved but fell to Mikey Peck who slotted home CBU's 4th. Last 5 Halsetown really stretched CBU and scored off a corner from a John Binny 4-4.

Thanks to the H town boys physical as always, good luck for season, and thanks to Steve Hall who got some stick as REF.

Cheers Boys
