Pablo Posted July 19, 2009 Report Share Posted July 19, 2009 Martin Hicks has decided to call it a day as manager of Bodmin Saints. Derek Thompson has agreed to take over the manager's role. I will be carrying out the duties of secretary and Ty Martyn will continue as the club's figurehead. I would like to thank Martin Hicks for his efforts and for leading Saints to consecutive promotions and for our victory in the Duchy League Cup final Derek has a hard act to follow but I'm convinced, with his infectious passion and football knowledge, he can help the club continue their rise through the Duchy League. We have lost one or two of last season's squad and we wish them well for the coming season. We're pleased to have re-signed Dave (DJ) Jeffreys and one or two others who have played for us previously have returned to the fold.
