Until individual players get over themselves and accept that there is no shame in playing for a reserve team at a solid club, and not all team mates need to be best buddies, I fear the league will remain stretched and disrupted by new clubs joining and dropping out etc.
There's too much selfishness and not enough selflessness in junior football these days. And unfortunately the current approach does not seem to be sustainable for the long term.
Richard, my interpretation of this proposed rule (based on the "drawn from member clubs" bit is that new teams from existing clubs in the league would be welcomed, provided that the total number of TEAMS in the league did not exceed 80. Was that the intention, do you know?
