  1. UP THE SAINTS! 🟡⚫️ A few sour grapes on here tonight I’d imagine 👀 A game today that should have been wrapped up in the first half but there we are. The ref had a fantastic game as did both linesmen, it’s a shame the older chaps next to the dugout were slating their own lino. Sad times. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a manager come out with “I feel cheated”. However, we do have to praise Perranwells goalkeeper due to his fantastic time wasting allowing our lads to get the well deserved goal. 🏆
  2. Helston Development 1 - 3 St Day A cold but dry afternoon in Helston today, was quite looking forward to my granola and yoghurt from the blues kitchen but was disappointed when I figured out they weren’t there anymore and I had to substitute it for a double cheese burger from the van. Almost as dissatisfied as looking at Kellaway parks pitch. What could have been an exciting game turned in to a fairly boring one, St Day loosing 1-0 at half time but seem to come back stronger in the second half. No Tyler Oliver today due to injury and others still out due to suspension, all three key players thoroughly missed in the squad I feel. Both teams very poor although I hear St Day have brought in some new faces? Connor Gilbert from Redruth and a Truro City lad? Apart from Helston’s goalkeeper shocking me, I feel the real shock of the day was watching the boy Buckleys dad run onto the pitch after his boy scored, my Christ you’d think he’d scored the winner at Wembley.
  3. St Day 4 - 1 Falmouth Town A very interesting game at Vogue Park this afternoon but the weather certainly didn’t put a dampener on it! Falmouth Town had all intentions to upset the St Day squad from the first whistle resulting in 3 Falmouth Town cards all before 30 minutes, the saints didn’t seem too bothered about the aggression from the opposition and delivered a friendly game. Falmouth took the lead early on but the saints soon came back a few minutes later making it 1-1 with a screamer from Marks. Second half was completely dominated by St Day, Falmouth fought until the 90th minute but were unfortunately down to 10 men when their number 5 was shown his second yellow card for a scuffle in the penalty box with Dan Richards. This didn’t stop Dan as he soon made it to 3-1 after the boy Dobbo put St Day in the lead with a cracking goal. Another few nasty tackles being made from one of the youngsters on Tyler Oliver but no apparent injury. Sam Buckley then made it 4-1 and celebrated as if they’d won the premier league, that boy loves his football! Ref was Steve Annis today, what a top bloke back in his day! Didn’t think he had a great game today and was a little shy on the whistle but that’s how it goes sometimes. I don’t think I could have had one MOTM there today but all four goals were great and both the boys Marks and McCabe who plays left back battled till the end even after receiving terrible tackles on them resulting in ankle and leg injuries. (A polite sub from Falmouth who was shouting to his team mates to “break one of their legs”. Not great sportsmanship but when you’re warming the bench up on a cold December afternoon times are tough.
  4. I hope all is well with Isaac? It must be gutting to miss his teams games now. I can only imagine the score if both him and Lester were running the line together. Terry and Mikeys pockets would have been burning significantly.
  5. A cold and wet afternoon down Mullion today, was working in Culdrose anyway so wasn’t much of a journey! 🤷🏼‍♂️ Both sides gave a great game, some really good players in both teams too this season. Couldn’t help but notice no Joffy or Lee today? I’m sure they’ll be happy with the win anyway. Great support from Dan Richards on the sideline, unsure if he’s injured or banned? Could someone enlighten me? Two great goals by Dobbo and the boy Buckley, a tidy penalty at the start by Marks. Mullion battled till the end despite weather conditions. A cracking game all in all to watch. (Fantastic cuppa tea in Mullions own branded mugs, what a treat!)
