Manor Farm Match Report

Recommended Posts

City continued their push for promotion with a comprehensive performance against Tuesday evening and although conditions were freezing and the surface not very special City bossed the match from start to finish.

Truro made just one change from the victorious side that started on Saturday with the welcome sight of Joe Broad taking over from Marcus Martin and he was soon in the thick of it setting up a Watkins cross which found Stamp who just shot wide.

On six minutes Andy Watkins broke free and seemed to be brought down but the referee turned the claims down, Manor Farm were always looking to catch City on the counter attack and with one such attack saw Chapman who had gathered the ball cleanly being caught late by Plummer and after a anxious stoppage he resumed for the rest of the match.

Andy Watkins again went close on 23 minutes when his shot on the half volley was scrambled off the goal line, Chapman produced a top draw save from Thorn from a corner but that was the only Bristol Manor Farm's real chance in the half.

As the first half drew to a close Stamp was brought down in the box and referee Hunter had no hesitation in awarding the penalty which Stamp thumped into the net.

Within three minutes of the second half starting City and Stamp had their second when he dispatched the ball into the net with a rare right footed shot, and on the hour after a great turn and run into the box Stamp was again brought down and he converted from the spot for his first hat trick for the club since his move from Exeter.

City made three changes with Yetton,Wills and Ludlam coming on for Watkins,Broad and Walker, City continued to press forward but with no extra addition though on 85 minutes Hiscox broke down the middle and shot past the oncoming Chapman to get a consolation.

After the match Power thanked the "Hard Core" fans who made the journey up which contributed 40 of the 85 that attended the match, the players also made a big point of thanking the fans as they came off the pitch.

Isn't it amazing?

Truro get dicked by Whitley Bay in the FA Vase and for two weeks no match report is put up on this forum, they have a win in the league and a match report goes up in a day or two..........sour grapes? you decide.

Watch a fantstiv fat PR machine they've got...............not.
