Those wanting to get their football fix on Saturday would be most welcome to attend the Saltash Legends charity match at Saltmill, Saltash, which kicks-off at 11:00am on Christmas Eve.

The two Legends sides are managed by Sam Borthwick & Adam Stiff (under 29s) and by Will Swales and Jason O'Melia (over 29s) and both have named strong squads:

Saltash Legends Under 29s: Sam Borthwick, Adam Stiff, Jack lowden, Dave Barker, Matt Budd, Callum O'brien, Nick Dale, Lewis Fedrick, Adam Brettell, Josh Fedrick, Lee Hawkins, Ali Greensides, Tyler Borthwick, Dan Snowdon, Josh Ladlow, Josh Tapp, Ross James, Royce Pierreson, Dan Parke, Ryan Tetley, Lucas O'driscoll, Harry Crofts

Saltash Legends Over 29s: Adam Keith, Will Swales, Jason O'Melia, James Livings, Steve Syme, Will Murphy, Andrew Kevern, Ben Clark, Lee Jacketts, Max Parfitt, Ashley O'Rourke, Ryan Allen, Tom Clark, Craig Holman, Luke Blakeston, Mark Toms, Ross Exley, Stuart Fort, Tony Jane, Sam Laidler, Myles Evans ,David Homer

Benefiting from the match will be the charity Kits4causes as part of a project run by ex St Stephens Borough secretary Julian Chenery.

Kits4Causes is a charity based in the UK that collects unwanted sports equipnent and distributes it to social development projects around the world, predominantly in Africa.

To support the appeal anyone attending the game is asked to bring an old item of sports kit to donate. This can be a shirt, a pair of shorts, socks, boots – basically anything. If in doubt donate!

In the absence of a kit donation an entry fee of £1 will be collected to go to the specialist kit collecting charity Kits4Causes.

The match has been sponsored by Crash Repair Centre, Saltash and the man of the match award by Ryan James Heating & Plumbing.

What better way to start Christmas Eve then watching some of the best players to come out of Saltash facing off against each other and supporting this great cause.
