2011 - 2012 Season Information

Please read below for details of the new season programmes available at the Cornwall College Football Development Centre, we are really looking forward to the new season and improving all of courses to ensure that every player has a programme where they can be challenged and can enjoy their football experience.

Holiday Course: Fun filled days which have a complete focus on fun, lots of games, competitions and prizes.

2011 - 2012 Course Dates & Themes. (All players welcome, aged 4 – 16)

Autumn – 25th & 26th October – Kick it Out Campaign

Winter – 13th & 14th February – Football Control

Easter – 3rd & 4th April – Long & Short Passing

Spring – 6th & 7th June – Shooting & Finishing

Summer – 7th & 8th August – The Transfer Window

Mini Soccer Programme: Let the game be the teacher, this FA initiative is aimed at allowing players match experience without any interference, this is an excellent introduction into football and a great way for players to meet new friends and have fun.

Saturday 10th September times will revert back to 10am - 11.30am (4 - 7 yrs old 10am - 11am 7 - 12 yrs old 10 - 11.30am)

Cornwall College Academy: (Ages Under 8’s – Under 12’s) Advanced coaching linking into the FA player development model and working in partnership with the other player development centres to offer a pathway of advanced coaching and county representation up until Under 16’s.

Mondays 5pm - 6.30pm (Trials being held for all players (male and female) aged 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 on 12th & 19th September) Returning players to begin on 26th September.

Skills Programme: A more technical look at the skills and techniques used in football, the players will spend the majority of the sessions with a ball working on ball familiarisation and manipulation. The players will take part in 4 skills challenges 3 times throughout the year to track their progression.

Tuesdays 5pm - 6pm. Commencing on 13th September.
