St Agnes AFC Ladies travelled to Camelford for their last League fixture of the 08/09 season.

With Camelford hosting the East Cornwall Youth League Finals the kick off was set for 4.30pm and within minutes of kick off Julie Windram was on target for St Agnes with a shot from the edge of the area.

Tiphanie Herrington then began a great wide run on goal with an innocent tackle from a Camelford player leaving her injured on the ground. A significant delay occurred as an ambulance was called and Tiphanie was whisked of to Treliske Hospital with what has transpired to be a serious and complicated break to her tibia and fibula.

The match finally restarted with St Agnes scoring again with Anita Adams travelling at speed wide down the right hand side of the pitch and striking well across the Camelford keeper. Leanne Harvey was then on target for St Agnes placing the ball well over the top of the Camelford keeper.

The half time score 3-0 to St Agnes.

Shortly after half time Laura Rogers finished the St Agnes scoring cutting in from the left hand side to place the ball well in the net.

Camelford had some good play in the 2nd half capitalizing when they scored the final goal of the match with a fine strike to leave the final score 4-1 to St Agnes - the match finishing at 7pm!

St Agnes would like to thank the officials at Camelford for their assistance during Tiphanie Herrington's injury.

St Agnes Ladies will be hosting their first ever Ladies Tournament on Sunday 19th July 2009 at Enys Parc, St Agnes - this date is the same as the Wendron Sharon Wood Tournament where there will not be a Ladies Section this year. Anyone interested in competing in the tournament with half of the proceeds to Cancer Research is invited to contact Mandy Kimmins on 07974 370666 or email bolsterpaper@gmail.com

St Agnes Ladies will commence their pre-season training at the beginning of July with some beach fitness in June - anyone interested in joining St Agnes AFC Ladies for the 09/10 season please contact Mandy Kimmins on 07974 370666.

Just like to add my congratulations to Dobwalls. We didn't play as well as we have been but take nothing away from Dobwalls they were the best team on the day. No excuses and the playing surface was excellent. Sorry to hear about the St Agnes girl and all the girls at Falmouth hope she is back playing soon.

We will also be holding a " Spot the League Committee Members Competition "

Star prize to anybody who can find more than one of the 7 League officers at the games !! :D:D:D

zebedee wouldnt shout to much on this one as we had spot the commitee member when we played the last game of the season at booters where we won the league and we had to drive to wendron to pick up the league trophy and medals as the committee thought it was more important to have the only availible member attending the cup final to present the cup to the winners( THATS LIKE MAN UTD WINNING THE PREM AND TELLING THEM THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE CUP AS THE FA HAVE TO ATTEND THE CARLING FINAL TO PRESENT THE CUP) THE LEAGUE TITLE CUMMES 1ST THATS WHAT WE PLAY WEEK IN WEEKOUT FOR CUPS ARE A BONUS :ninja::ninja::ninja: :ninja:
