First of all good luck to both sides in the k.o cup final. At the semi the other night st.dennis under performed yet again but still did more than enough to win the game, credit to saltash for keeping going but if it wasn"t for the UP HIMSELF REF ("this is my game,i don"t even want you to talk to me").Maybe the refs would get more respect if they showed the players some, football is about the two teams not the men in black.Dave Goldstone should take up ref trainning, top top man to av in the middle.Anyway back to the semi MR VOLZ gave the ashes a pen even when our defender showed him the red mark on his chest from being struck with the ball, going into the late 50 sumin mins of the 2nd half saints 3-2 up managed to gift the ashes a 3rd.The best was yet to come when an ashes player slipped over and the lino flagged for a foul, needless to say wayne skelton smashed the ball in the top corner (WHAT A BELTER).Saints kick off and the MR Volz ends his shocking evenings work shortly after. The only stoppage 2nd half was for ricks to tie the ashes keepers boot,do the math yourself. To top it off i can"t be that far wrong as a league official offerd his apologies with regards to the ref and asked if we were sure we didnt want to write a report !!!!!!!!!!,but hey is there any use.I"M NOT BITTER(much).

I have seen a few messages now regarding this game and I don't think we are getting the credit we deserve.

I didn't see the handball for the penalty cos I played the ball into the box then went to make a run so I didn't see where it hit the defender and for our fourth I was suprised a freekick was given but those wearn't the only chances we had... I hit the post, Skeldon had a free header from 12 yards which he put past the post and that would have put us 2-0 up, there was another couple of scrambles in the St.Dennis box coming upto halftime aswell. I also thought our 3rd was a nicely worked goal.

I know St.Dennis were disapointed with a couple of our goals but we felt the same, for the equaliser our defender cleared the ball off the attacker and it ran through for him to finish, the second one hit the post and came straight back to one of their players and we didn't react quick enough and we felt the 3rd goal was clearly offside.

Now I can't comment on the St.Dennis performance cos I haven't seen them play before but I know for a fact that we have played better this season aswell! I thought we all dug deep and fought hard, we were the underdog and knew we would need a little luck to win that match and I feel we actually deserved it cos other than the 3 goals St.Dennis had I can't really remember them having many other chances to score if any... possibly 1 before we scored our first and a shot from distance by Rickets that hit the top of the bar and went over.
