oldasitgets
Tremough finished off a very successful season with a fairly convincing win over Threemilestone at Wendron this morning. The final score was 4 - 0 to the students, a score that probably reflected the difference between the two teams. Tremough have now won the two cups available to them and have ended up, narrowly, as runners-up in the league. Tough on Threemilestone, who lost to Tremough in last season's final of this competition, and didn't seem able to raise their game today to a level that would trouble the students. There were chances for TMS, mainly to Richie Price in the last ten minutes, but none could be converted. They had a reasonable share of the play after Tremough were reduced to 10 men by an injury early in the second half. (They couldn't run to substitutes) Unfortunately, by then, Tremough were 3- 0 up and very soon made the margin 4. Well refereed by Derek Fox with Andy Stocks and George Pattison assisting. It was good to see Dave James up and about again after some unpleasantness at the hospital. I'm sure we all wish him well. Wendron, and the weather, delivered the goods to make it a very pleasant outing for players and spectators to wind up the West Cornwall Sunday League season.
