Unlike last thursday night, Trispen were worthy winners on saturday. They won more challenges and had the edge in most areas of the pitch.

In Falmouths defence, it has to be said that although some players returned to the squad, there were still notable absentees. Returning centre half Ashley Farrow was forced into playing in goal and Falmouth lined up with an untryed and untested 3-5-2 formation. But were frankly left with little or no other choice given the players availble on the day.

The 3-5-2 didn't work, and the Falmouth lads were left wishing they'd taken better penalties against Penryn as their final chance at silverwear this year diminished.

Not the best week Falmouth Athletic Reserves have had this season. Promotion is still a likely possibillity. But not knowing what players they'll have on certain days could prove to be a problem. It has been over this past week.
