What a great game of football under conditions which to be fair were quite good.

most of the callington players including myself and the manager didnt turn up at the game with 20 minutes to go. unbelievable but we got there.

the pitch wasnt bad, but the weather was very cloudy and little rain. with lights the game would have been 90 minutes but fair play to the referee and the assistant 40 minutes each way still gave everyone a good game.

cally took the lead through james boon. the left back getting the last touch after a corner from dennis mason, again an outstanding game for him on the wing.

half time and then 5 minutes later the second half resumed, because of the light a short break was decided. foxhole started putting a lot of pressure on and scored from open play.

callington then took the lead again through anthony mason, who deserved his goal for his first half show. foxhole tho didnt stand back and 10 minutes later they scored to make it 2-2.

callington went all out attack and scored 2 goals in 3 minutes. first through james yates with his right foot in the bottom corner and then a solo effort from anthony mason, beating two defenders and slotting the ball in.

foxhole then scored again to close the scoreline to 4-3 to give a good end to the game but callington were a little too strong and scored 2 more goals through hussein watfa and the hat-trick completed for anythony mason.

foxhole thought do have so many quality young players in their squad and were very very good.

one thing i did receive was a letter from the gaffa from mike sampson about the comments of the dobwalls games. says that if i publicy state my opinions of a game again from the independent he will publicly publish his reply in his column. i say go for it, as people are always gunna have their views of me, and i respect people who dont like me i accept what people write or think and i cant change the way i am, but as some users on here have, i am not the only one who uses my username. what was said about the dobwalls game was not said by me, and now mr sampson wants to publicise his reply forgetting that it wasnt me who said the comments. what are peoples views of what this forum is all about, opinions, or a serious case of slagging other people?

i also got a text off my manager who reckons i should join millbrook right now. what do you think of that. if i was to leave callington now i would have been a loser by not committing myself to the end of the season. says i have no back-up from the club and millbrook is a club that would be interested.

Not interested in the rubblish flying around regarding 2 clubs I have little interest in CallyMike, but as I see it his column in the paper is for providing his views on football etc.

To use his column as a place to attack an individual for personal benefit is surely abusing his position and i'm sure it would land him in hot water at the paper.

What he is proposing to do is use the paper as a place to post his views, would be much easier if it was done on here! :)

I'm a big believer in saying what you think, a spade is a spade etc.

Dont get bullied by letters that whiff of insecurity mate!

i understand that mate. im just showing other posters that what i say can be crap and not what people wanna hear but thats me and this is what the "chief" writer for local football is sending people like me, written warnings for future assumptions, again mis-leading the public to what he writes because he doesnt like people writing their views on his articles, well he cant be mr nice writer all the time and all i was doing was stating an opinion from another person using my username.

Guest The Judge aka RED OR DEAD

I have met Mike Sampson on a few occasions when we have been in the East of the region and Plymouth and always found him to be a charming man, who reports what he sees without bias.

I'm not sure what you have said to upset him Callymike but if you believe what you have said/written is true, then stick to your guns mate. We still have freedom of speech in the country (sort of) and you are entitled to write/say whatever you want as long as it is factual. I have made posts on this forum which some have found close to the mark but as of yet, have only had a minor ticking off from some in the past.

If Callington wish you to leave, and Millbrook want you, then go. From what I gather from our coversation a couple of weeks ago, you do not support any particular club but just have a keen interest in local football and wish to be involved in helpling out where it is needed. Millbrook obviously need you help and have stated they are looking forward to you arriving in the summer. Local football needs people like you and I wish you well in whatever you do.

Anyway, I was intending to catch the match at Foxhole but wrongly thought it would be too dark/wet/windy to go ahead. The Masons (one of whom turned out for Newquay briefly) have obviously made a positive impact for Cally, I just hope they have an off day next Weds when we come a calling.
