Penzance 5-1Millbrook.

Millbrook went in half-time leading 1-0.

Millbrook frustrated Pz with an up and under game kicking the ball up not even long. Caught Pz with a break to score whilst keeper for Millbrook played a blinder to keep Pz out.

2nd half Pz score 4 in 10mins at around 55-65mins. Westgarth finishes with 4 goals. Pz dominate and keeper once again keeps score down along with a lot of missed chances from the Magpies. Several open goal situations.

If both teams took their chances game would have finished something like 20-3.

st austells linesman was not like what you portray

Although early on he was a "bit quick" with his flag, this was soon tempered down after the referee Dave Harding overruled him.

I have to say I thought the ref had a decent game, attempting to keep the match flowing and shouting encouragement to the players for them to get on with things, instead of interrupting the game with needless free-kicks and cards! Could it be because he is a decent ex-player, even if it is a few years ago now I know :D

Guest Uncle Albert

Bodmin 1 Witheridge 0

Steve Colwell scored after 14 minutes but Bodmin didn't have this game their own way by any means.

Witheridge had a number of really good chances, but their strikers bottled it when they saw Kevin Miller standing between them and the net.

Surprising to see Danny O'Hagan and Karl Turner left on the bench for a match Bodmin needed the three points from, although they both came on late in the game.

I reckon Bodmin only need nine points to retain the title - and only that many if Saltash win their last 10 matches, which seems unlikely.

One worrying thing about today at Priory Park - where were the supporters? The grandstand had about half a dozen people in it . . . there were more Witheridge fans there than Bodmin.

With such a good team to watch, you would think the people of Bodmin would support them. Perhaps they are more interested in watching the Grand National.

Sonny Jim - you'll have to back that up mate. Find somewhere on this forum this season where we say we take over 40 per game and I'll give you a creme egg.

Our average this season has been 20-25.

Uncle Albert - totally agree. Bodmin are storming to the title and no-one is turning up to watch them - how bizarre is that?!

hope the judge thanks truros youngsters .for there great win today against st austell, and to say that st austells linesman was not like what you portray ,very fair on his decisons ,and the winning goal was tight but he kept his flag down,so gobby your rose tinted glasses are not always right :clapper:

May I suggest you click on the links below, to see how Newquay got on... one of our fans has captured some of the goals and our noise on youtube...

The fifth biggest cheer of the day was hearing that Truro Res had beaten St Austell, the first four were for our goals obviously. 0-4 away from home despite having our keeper being with Charlton today and our Combo keeper suffering from a parking ticket, also no Robbo who is pissing it up in Magaluf, this was a mighty fine result against a team who we struggled to beat at MW.

Crowd of just 57 counted by me, of which 37 were Newquay and I'm sure that Mark Hayman who was in the ground would agree with that, witnessed a Prem side just waiting to take their rightful place. If their is any justice in this world, Newquay will be visiting old foes such as Blazey next season. We just hope Falmouth don't get relegated, you will just have to guess how much we want to beat them !!!

If we don't go up this year, you can be damn sure that it will be next season. Whatever happens, we have enjoyed the ride, but Flambards ain't Alton Towers.

Jake Hartigan, Middsy and keeper OG in the first half. Joff added the 4th from Centre back mid right back out wide, play where you like type position, blimey he could have saved a few as well... good call Mrs Judge !!!

Heard that Josh had a good day, keep it up son !

Was at Holsworthy on Saturday,Town 1-0 up,should have been 3 up,when Holsworthy have a corner,Jason Chapman catches the ball,Referee gives a penalty.

Holsworthy's second goal, they had a player stood on the goal line, yet both the ref and lino didn't think he was offside, when Alan Carey confronted the lino about it,he just laughed, and the ref just ran around with his finger to his mouth, saying shhhhh.Respect, you need to earn it.

112 mile round trip for that, and the players, officials and other supporters had more miles to travel than me.

At the end of the day though,Town had enough chances to wrap the game up before the pen.

Well done to Holsworthy on your win, looks like your safe from the drop now.

Only one team to be relegated,League Secretary confirms this,so it's Town or Elburton for the drop, with the teams still to meet twice, squeeky bum time,as he with the red face would say.

C'mon Town, start sticking those chances away.

Falmouth second from bottom! However should be reprived from relegation thanks to Newton Abbot withdrawing mid-season - unless a Western League club transfers to the SWP.

The likely scenario is that it will be one down and one up from East and West to make it 20 teams again

I see Barnstaple Town lost again yesterday and are still points adrift in the Western League Premier relegation zone.

IF they do drop a level they would have an easier chance of climbing back from Western League Div.1 than the SWPL(Prem) which I consider a higher standard.

Perhaps our North Devon correspondent Richard Rundle can can give us some inkling of the 'terrace talk' ?

Holsworthy vs Falmouth Town

Photos courtesy of Quiet Man

1st Picture - Maybe the striker is holding the goal keepers arms!!! Cant really see the foul there?

2nd Picture - Had the keeper punched the ball already? Again cant see the strikers arms holding down the keeper? And the keeper CONCEDES the penatly?

I'm sure that most people will agree that goalkeepers are given to much protection from refs, any sort of fair Challenge is ALWAYS blown in favour of the GK.

After all its a contact sport............

With the referee being a former goalkeeper, I wonder how he would feel if he had been penalised. I can't comment as I wasn't there but I have been informed that it was harsh.

The first pic, the ref does not have any sort of view as he can be seen far in the distance, did the Falmouth lad go down ?

The second pic shows the keeper has gained leverage by using the shoulder of a Holsworthy player thus restricting the forward, a clear penalty !

We played you back in September near the start of the season. Last season the away support was around 30-40, and we were still taking that at the start of this season, so the chap in question (Paul?) probably wasn't that far wrong with his estimate!

Away crowds has dropped markedly throughout the season, but still rarely dropped below 20.
