Cornish Football Programme back on air

Recommended Posts

Yes, I think it's good news - the Cornish Football Programme is coming back - yes, the two hour chat programme about all the day’s local football news.

As from Saturday, April 11th, it will be on until the end of the season. In case you didn't get to hear either of the recent two pilot shows - it covers the whole range of Saturday Cornish football.

So if you .....

Want to talk about the match you will have been involved in?

Want to talk about something you want to get off your chest?

Or have news from your club?

This programme will give you the chance.

there's also RESULTS – from all around the county;

and

CHATS with the people in the know, including managers, players and anyone at all that wants the county (and the world via the internet) to hear about their game

The fact that the programme was for 2 hours proved very popular and widely welcomed as it gave time to all levels of Cornish football.

To get involved all you have to do is call or text me on 07759 502408

To listen go to Radio St Austell Bay

Between now and Saturday week, I'll be more than pleased to hear from you if you can help in any way or want to take part, even if in a small way, or have suggestions as to what should be included. Just let me know by either texting or e-mailing me at dave.deacon@cornishsoccer.info

And don't forget keep texting me with your result on a Saturday, and if something special happened, include that as well - the number for your phone is 07759 502408

We need everyone to help though Rich by getting their results in as quick as possible. And also telling me by text if something special happened at their game that we should all know about.

The text number is 07759 502408

Glyn Hooper is in the studio for the whole two hours .... one of the county's top strikers in his time, top goalscorer in St Blazey's esteemed history, and also most fitting two days ahead of the Easter Monday finals ... not only as a former St Dennis player as they appear in the Junior Cup final but as a Senior cup finalist more times than most! We'll find out later how many times exactly ...

:D

Great to see Radio St Austell have taken the programme on board. I had a feeling there had to be an audience for local football - well, it was already there and listening to Sportscene on Radio Cornwall in the past, wasn't it, and had its programme taken away - a bit like Radio Devon have done recently, too, with Graham Danton (not sport: just a well-established, popular programme taken off for reasons of "modernising"). It could turn out to be Radio St Austell's most listened to output if you include the online audience and the people who "listen again" through the week.

Excellent stuff!

Well I listened in for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it (missed the first half hour travelling back from the Truro game). Also its worth noting that from the radio stations point of view, I listened to them all morning so they may gain more listeners like me, especially as their player is extremely easy to use.

I kinda liked the fact that they made a small **** up playing the Bee Gees instead of Take That ;)

I apologise if the answer to this question has been previously explained but.....can you only listen to st austel radio online? would be great to listen in the car on the way home from a match.

I usually catch it on Sunday evenings and really enjoy it.

Is that right that Jim Hilton of Newquay was interviewed on this weeks show?
