Ludgvan 0-5 Holman SC

Due to Pz not having a game a few Pz supporters watched the Ludgvan v Holman game on Saturday bringing the crowd up to 22.

Ludgvan did most of their attacking down their right which was their weak side with the lads easily bundled off the ball. They also played with a seige mentality once they were a couple down, too deep allowing Holman to come onto them. The score was 5-0 but it wasn't until the last 30mins that Holman dominated the game as before then Ludgvan gave as good as they got but were weak in the final third of the pitch. When they had chances they only ever seemed to have one in the box against 3/4 defenders.

The first goal was scored after 15mins. Until then Holman's passing was woeful. The goal was scored by Frazer Cadman with a cross goal shot from 10yds out on the left following a through ball.

Both keepers make great saves to stop goal bound shots.

Just after the half-hour Holman double their lead. They have a free kick 25yds out, cetnre midfield. The ball is knocked forward and Adam Freethy runs onto it to knock it high cross goal into the net.

Neither side looked like scoring or having a chance on goal until midway through the 2nd half.

On 63mins Holman get a penalty for a sloppy challenge when the player is going away from goal. Tom Hogarth scores high to the keeper's left to make it 3-0.

As I said Ludgvan start to lose control of the game, not picking up runners, especially on the right, playing narrow up the centre of the park, goal keeper kicking the ball out too quickly before players are up field.

78mins 4-0. Holman break right, fire in a through ball, 1-on-1 with the keeper, into the box. Andy Hill slips it under the keeper from 15yds out.

2mins later 5-0. Holman pack the edge of the box. A shot goes in, is deflected badly sending the diving keeper the wrong way. Tarok Kalkin has a simple tap in from 6yds into an empty net.

The game finishes with the Ludgvan keeper making some great saves. The 16 year old saved 5 certain goals to keep score down. Man of the match and it won't be long before another team comes calling. Brilliant because they were flying and diving saves not stand up and stick your arm out type.
