Guest local_football_supporter
Saw a seris of reports on sky sports news on how the credit crunch is affecting sport at all levels ! Was wondering how it is / going to affect clubs in the swpl in the future. Will clubs be forced to cut budgets /withdraw them all together ?? Could be a interesting few months ahead ! Jamo
Well it wont effect us at Wendron as think we are one of the only clubs that dont pay!! But like you say, may be an interesting time come the break in the summer, maybe if the money isnt available players may go and play for clubs with good facilities and great team spirit etc instead......in everyones dreams!!! cornish-blue
its a shame that all the clubs cant get together and set a budget which everyone agrees to and no club spend more than that. it would help all clubs . some would pay less but having a top limit could help take the pressure of alot of clubs
The Gooner
Wendron are not the only club in the SWPL that do not pay players. Dobwalls do not pay any players. I am sure that there are a few more?
