Div 1

Mawnan 5 Stithians 0 h/t 2-0

Comfortable win for the league leaders who were given the lead by Damian Stevens from 25 yards.Paul Terry scampered through for a second just before the break.

A cross ball was deflected in for a third before Paul Smith headed in a fourth. The fifth from 25 yards was a mistake by the visiting keeper who seemed to be behind the ball but it eluded him.

MOM - Has to be Damian Stevens but if he could have finished his chances,it would have been Chris Pellow.

Thanks for the hospitality.

WHEATLEY COBB (NOT SURE WETHER 2ND OR 3RD ROUND)

TRISPEN 2

HAYLE 0

RAPPO ENDING THE WORST GOAL DROUGHT OF HIS LIFE (2 GAMES) WITH A GOAL AND THE OTHER FROM MARC TAYLOR IN EACH HALF. FAIRLY EVEN GAME TO BE HONEST WITH HAYLE DRAFTING IN SOME COMBO PLAYERS (IM LED TO BELIVE) AFTER THE 2ND TEAM GAME BEING CALLED OFF WITH THE RUMOUR HAYLE CLUB HOUSE WAS SET ON FIRE LAST NIGHT? CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS? TRISPEN MAN OF THE MATCH TOM RANDELL.

Paul smiths header was mawnans third, the fourth was a twenty yard curler from our long range specialist Oliver miller! He picked the ball up on the right flank beat two defenders before gliding the ball into the keepers far top corner! Goal of the game for sure!

DIV 3

Ruan Minor 2 - 2 Falmouth Athletic (H/T 2-1)

Weird feeling standing in goal, looking down the pitch to find the goals weren't in line with each other - and it was obvious. Stand on the far post and look down the pitch and you are in line with the near post (if that makes sense)

another win for Mawnan, and another clean sheet!! although the highlight of the game has to be oliver millers brilliant dribble through four players, followed by a blistering strike from 25yds, giving the keeper no chance !! ( however, judging from the fifth goal. even if he did save it, he would of then thrown it in the net !!)

FHFL 2

Perranporth 1 Camborne Park 3

HT 0-1

This game was always going to hard for Camborne Park with three players missing and Perranporth going well in recent months.

The game starting with Perranporth attacking strongly with few chances including a header that hit the bar and post before being retrieved by Tom Collett in the Park goal. Perranporth carried on attacking but met a resilient back line that reduced the clear cut chances to minimum.

Camborne Park then got themselves into order and, following a mistake from a throw in, won a penalty when Stuart Hull was bundled over by the Perranporth kepper. Despite a hand by the keeper on the ball, Matt Woodward scored from the spot to take Park into the break 1 goal up.

Perranporth came out in the second as they started the first and got themselves back on level terms when a 20+ yard strike flew into the bottom corner of the net. This saw the manager of Camborne Park bring on Peter Norfolk who with his first touch played Stuart Hull through, and despite protests from Perranporth for offside, slotted a carm shot beyond the keeper.

Perranporth then threw everything forward and won a penalty when Park keeper Tom Collett went through the Perranporth attacker. The Perranporth striker stepped up and hit a good penalty only to see an even better safe by Tom Collett in goal onto the post and then seeing the rebound fly over the bar.

Shortly after, Camborne Park were reduced to ten men when Matt Trudgeon went studs up through the Perranporth player and rightly saw red.

Camborne reverted to a more defensive formation for the last 15-20 minutes of the game which saw constant pressure from Perranporth.

However, with the last attack of the game, Camborne broke away, and after confusion between the defender and keeper, Peter Norfolk toe poked the ball into the back of the net.

Good Luck to Perranporth for the rest of the season. Despite the current table, i believe you will easily finish in the top half of the table.

Next game is at home to Marazion next week.
