DanBlazey
In Cornwall's big match of the day, St Blazey, still unbeaten in 2009, travel to Lanson for an attractive looking mid-table encounter. This fixture (both home and away) has produced some great matches over recent seasons, and today looks no different as both sides look to make up some ground on the front runners. Last five games: Lanson (9th) WLWLL St Blazey (11th) LDDDD
DanBlazey
Lanson 3-0 St Blazey Est attendance: 60 (20 from St Blazey) After some better performances of late, St Blazey looked out of sorts against a Lanson side who wanted it more from the first minute to the last. Blazey squandered a couple of excellent chances in the first half (including one which rattled the bar), and once they went 2-0 down, their heads dropped and they didn't look like getting back into it. A Lanson penalty settled it. No complaints, they were well worth the three points. Looking at the crowd today, we're clearly not the only club struggling to get supporters through the gate! Mike Odgers
This is St.Blazey's 6th.SWPL Premier league game without a win and will be looking to a victory at Cullompton on Saturday to avoid equalling their record 7 match run last season. Falmouth Town have recorded 5 consecutive defeats which equals their 5 defeat run at the start of the season and will need to overcome visiting Witheridge next Saturday to avoid setting a new SWPL club record. Elburton Villa are the only other Premier club not to have won in 2009. Sorry about these depressing figures to the above clubs concerned -not really but facts are facts. DanBlazey
Paul Cox. I know what you mean; it was quite amusing at times, like he was ten seconds behind play. I thought he did alright against Withy but looked totally out of place yesterday. Came from Truro City apparently!

DanBlazey
I call a spade a spade, and if Cox is worth his salt, he'll know he was out of sorts yesterday. Give it time, he looked good with Zalick against Withy; hopefully he'll settle in well.
