Mike Odgers
Last night in the F.A Trophy 3rd.Round replay with the score 1-1 aet, York City overcame Kidderminster Harriers 13/12 on penalties. Remarkably all 25 kicks were scored before the miss The British record is known to be 40 penalty kicks in a F.A.Cup Prelim.Rd replay between Littlehampton Town and Tunbridge Wells in 2005. After 3 hours and 10 minutes Tunbridge progressed with 16/15 win on penalties after drawing 2-2 aet (which included 2 spot kicks in normal time) Thought to be the European record is a Turkish F.A.Cup match in 1996 between Genclerbirligi and Galatasary which finished 17/16 from 34 takes. The highest overall record was in 1988 in an Argentina championship game when Argentinos Juniors won 20/19 over Racing Club after 44 kicks Has there ever been any high penalty shoot out in Cornish football-I remember 2004/05 SWLC Falmouth losing at Launceston on a higher than normal shootout.
