With alot of games cancelled over the new year period, Penryn were rareing to go.

on a cross windy day in the village of st keverne, which had a poor crowd turnout buy thier standards, maybe due to the teams poor return of form compared to last year.

The game started with penryn attacking the bottom end of the 45 degree slope and imediatly piled on the presure, with Kevin Watts (Kevchencko) (2nd top goalscorer at penryn 3rds) Going clean through twice in quick sucsession but to no evail (bumby pitch) around 10-15 minutes in, penryn scored there first, a corner whipped in to be turned in by relitvly new signing Matty Pearce. shortly after Kevin Watts went through for a second time only to be assaulted by the st keverne cb with challenge from behind, which nearly left kevchenko on crutches, kev got up wanting the penalty but with him not being able to walk the ball was passed to young Joe Roberts (As mentioned before in a recent post as a "Match Winner".) and the ball was calmly slotted beyond the keverne keeper, 2-0 ryn at half time, the second half was a more scrappy afffair with hard and late tackles coming from the penryn team breaking up the game. st keverne did manage to get one back early in the second half but due to exelent goalkeeping from the new penryn goalkeeper, st keverne were kept out for the rest of the match.

Ref had a quality game, which is refreshing,

thanks to st kev, good luck for rest of season,

another quality 'roberts report', good honest account of the game, and thanks for stating the fact that, me being put through twice to no avail, was down to the pitch and not the fact that i couldnt hit a barn door with a machine on the day. (4 weeks without a game is a long time).

good luck st kev!
