Mr Cornwall Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 i was gonna go to game tonite but latest train from penzance back to plymouth is round about 8oclock therefore i would only be able to see some of the first half. can someone update me on the score please and the action. ta
Mr Cornwall Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 just found out the result penzance won 4-0 and are now top of the table ahead by 1 point to porth in second and st austell in third. saturday should be good: wendron v callington vospers v godolphin porthleven v hayle plymstock v foxhole mousehole v dobwalls millbrook v penryn athletic camelford v truro no game again for newquay 2 weeks on trot and importantly for top of table no game for penzance
John Mead Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Reynolds, Reski, Vercesi (pen) & Miller. 1 - 0 at half-time. Competitive local derby with both sides playing good football and equally contributing to an entertaining game.
Dave James Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Thought Penzance had a game away to Galmpton Gents in the Cup this weekend ???
Guest Peppermint Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Question for John Mead - which Penzance team does the County Youth keeper Pennington play for?
Gareth Rowett Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Yes think so. St Austell also hosting Clyst in the Throgmorton cup.
John Mead Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 He has played both SWPL and Combo this season but has been happy to sit on the bench with the firsts for the majority of games - a luxury at this level. Undoubtedly will establish himself as an excellent keeper in future years. Whether his continuing educational ambitions will keep him in the area remains to be seen
Guest Peppermint Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks for the information John - as you say it is a luxury if you have a talented keeper who is happy to sit on the bench.
Mr Cornwall Posted November 21, 2008 Author Report Posted November 21, 2008 oh yeah penzance and st austell will have games in the cup but i was referring to league games where its so tight at the top no game for either of them could be vital to other chasing teams
