I expect this has been covered before, but can somebody remind me why the bans are in terms of days and not matches? Is it the same all over the country for teams playing at the same level?

depends on level MOTP,

Danny Bance has match bans, I think thats at the level match bans start. The steps below that get days, I presume, because you're signed on for so many clubs

Isn't it sad to see so many youth team players on the list. I know a lot of youngsters get wound up by their parents to over perform but 28 day suspensions mean something serious.

The FA has to get into schools and youth teams to teach the Respect Programme to the players.

I thought that....when i played youth football it was hard to get a card, last man tackles etc went unpunished so maybe the refs are just being more strict!

I agree, bit sad, but the ones on long bans seem to be on their second suspension of the season.
