Dave James Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 I HAVE HEARD RUMOURS THAT FALMOUTH ALBION ARE PULLING OUT OF THE SUNDAY LEAGUE . If anybody knows the truth and would like to inform the League Secretary it would be most appreciated . It`s no good telling your opposition if nobody informs the League OR IS IT JUST UNFOUNDED GOSSIP ???
Deano11 Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Can confirm Falmouth Albion have with drawn from the League with immediate effect. Very fustrating but nothing they can do.
Dave James Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 Having just spoken with the Fal Albion secretary , it is now confirmed they have withdrawn from the League . It appears the Post Office are to blame, as a letter was posted on Tuesday, informing the League Secretary , but it has not arrived yet ....( Postie Pidge is the main suspect !!!) Personally speaking I am sorry to lose them ,as previous to this season they were a well run sporting team . Sadly that has not been the case this season where discipline and a lack of reliable players has been a major problem. All results from fixtures played will be deleted from the league tables .
Deano11 Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Will falmouth albion be with drawing from all cups then as well
Guest geachy1 Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 well there charging 5pounds subs every game when the other teams from the area charge around 3pounds a game there going to struggle to attract players! plus any decent players around get offerd a couple of quid to play so y would some1 want to pay 5 pounds?
Soccer Follower Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 If they withdraw from the League, then they withdraw from the cups. The County Sunday Cup is a different matter.
Mike C Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Bloody hell Geachy. You saying sun league players get paid! I'd better have a word with the boss then. I gotta be worth at least a mars bar a season!

Shifty Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 well there charging 5pounds subs every game when the other teams from the area charge around 3pounds a game there going to struggle to attract players! plus any decent players around get offerd a couple of quid to play so y would some1 want to pay 5 pounds? Geachy - not sure where you get that figure from. Has never been £5 on a Sunday. Mike - maybe a fun sized mars bar for a 5 year contract
Mike C Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Shifty..........you win. I shall settle for a bag of skittles. PS: That pre-season game vs Albion was great. 3-0 down and back to 3-3. Great equaliser! But am sorry to see you guys go. It is a shame.
Shifty Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 A whole bag!!!!! Do you think I'm made of money. Dont know if us dropping out will mean another team promoted? Best of luck with MPad
Dave James Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 ...only 1 team will get relegated .........2 teams promoted .
the big number9 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 y didnt they jus ask for players on here, there are loads of quality jnr players who dont play on sundays due to lack of a team!!
Mike C Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Mpad have been approached by numerous Albion players. Sadly as pointed out today by the league secretary they cannot play. The rules state they cannot drop down a division. Sorry to disappoint you guys. Maybe next year. So for now.............Up the Mpad
