Damo No 2
Mining League Div.3 Trevenson Res. 2 .v. Wendron Res. 1 Wet and windy conditions affected what was all in all a good game of football. Wendron went in at the break 1 up after breaking the offside trap to go through one on one with Nathan Hick in the Trevenson goal. Wendron struggled to capitalize on Trevenson's indecisions in both defence and midfield during the first 20mins and once we sorted this out, to be fair they rarely threatened us for the rest of the game. Second half Trevenson started to break through Wendron's defence but were thwarted time and again. The breakthrough came when intelligent play from Jason Mutton ( letting the ball run through his legs ) put Anthony Curnow through on goal who slotted it past the 'keeper. Shaun Wilkins hit the winner 10 mins from time volleying into the top corner. Three wins on the trot now for Trevenson, hopefully we can push on up the league! Damo No 2
Justin Carbis scored Trevenson's first .v. Four Lanes!?! Doubled your usual tally for a season mate! Well done! I'm gonna have to stop Howard bombing off for every corner to keep tabs with you! Otherwise it'll be 2 beer sessions I'll owe you!

The General
Yep pleased as punch with the win today. Conditions played a part as we were 1 down against the wind after 45. St Ives lost their centre half after a clash of heads with young Ben Harvey. Ben's head is a little like his father Andy's and is thick as wood so he was able to carry on. Jay was always a threat but a neat combination of passes resulted in a square ball from Jowan to see us level. A rare headed goal for the returning Jowan May and two pearlers from Jay wrapped it up. St Ives played well with Messers Harris and Fox playing well. Quick word about the chap from St Ives who stood in and reffed the game. Very fair man who controlled the game well. :smiley20:

Guest Luffy
MINING DIV 2 Mousehole 0 v 2 Threemilestone Res TMS goalscorer Elliott Jolly (2) A decent game played in pretty poor conditions. Both teams attempted to keep the ball down with TMS probably playing the better of the football. Both goals came in the first half and only a fine save from the homeside keeper in the second robbed Jolly of his hat-trick. This was a good performance from a very depleted TMS side, at present the reserves are missing a considerable number of players due to injuries and other committments, but as the manager I must say the lads who turned out today put their all in and deserved the win. Well done to not only my lads but also to the lads from Mousehole for a game played in excellant spirit, also the ref had a good game.
flibert2
Halsetown 4 Robartes 1 No complaints. Beaten by a better side we did play well today good entertaining game, good to have a side who dont blame the pitch if we win, robartes unfortunate not to score from a lot of early corners but i think we just about deserved 2-0 lead against wind, second half to be fair i think wind picked up and rain was worse which made it a nightmare for robartes to defend, two more goals and a late reply finished scoring. scorers steve west 3 stuart fox 1,good luck to robartes for rest of season. Hutchspur
FOUR LANES 1 TREVENSON 4 A good competitive match played in difficult conditions, with Trevenson starting the game going with the wind (or should i say hurricane?). Trevenson went one up when Four Lanes failed to clear a cross from the right half way through the first half. A second followed 5 minutes before the break, a screamer into the top right corner from all of 30 yards (sorry to the scorer, dont know your name). Coming out in the second half we, Four Lanes, were much more competitive and tried to test the keeper early on. He pulled off a quality save, diving away to his left from a long range drive from Lewis. We weree keeping the ball really well and playing some lovely football in stages. After making a couple of changes, Trevenson soon went 3 up. We then pulled one back from the penalty spot by Joe Crossman with about 10 mins left. Whilst pushing for a second, Trevenson caught us on the counter attack and scored a 4th. Overall, a good competitive game for my first match joint-managing Four lanes. Got a great bunch of lads who can take a lot of positives from this game into future matches. Good luck to Trevenson for the rest of the season. Next up Redruth United at Clijah on Saturday. 1ofthekids
Trispen 4-7 St.Just (HT 4-2) A good battleing display from a St.Just side who were losing 4-2 at half time. On a blustery day and muddy pitch, the St.Just youngsters battled hard against a resilient Trispen side, with 16 year old Jack Willis scoring a hat-trick - although along with Damon Nicholls, they both missed penalties!!! St.Just still seem to defend a bigger goal than most, as another 4 goals were conceded, but getting 6 points out of the last 2 games, who's complaining?! Fatso
Storm 0 2 Illogan Beaten by a better side on the day, last couple of weeks we haven't even competed properly. ballsax
mining 3 redruth utd res 0-2 storm res 2 goals form lee jewell and a shed-load of missed chances for storm, but a massive improvement on last week. redruth struggled to create anything, as storm controlled the game well and played the better football. not easy in the second half with the driving rain, howling wind and deteriorating condition of the pitch (due to the weather), but 3 points away from home nonetheless. game played in good spirits. Good luck to redruth utd for the rest of the season, as for storm lets kick on from here, put a run of results together and start climbing the league!!!
