nephew Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Watched a game down at Dracena for the first time in about 5 years, Good to see to Falmouth Ath win there game against sennen despite going behind. Thought Ben Ambrose played really well. Seconds were not so lucky but it is so difficult to play on that top pitch, especially when the wendons number 9 who was also there skipper took up most of the pitch. Glad to see Noel Edmonds let Mr Blobby out again
Carpster Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Stithians 6-1 St. Day. Two goals each for Ben Cox and Treve Bale. A goal for James Semmens and an absolute screamer from the soon-to-be-retired Wayne Thomas.
Pitty Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Perranwell 2 - 2 Holmans Holmans Goalscorers Neil Pitt Daniel Scorer Really good advertisement for FHFL1 with two very evenly matched competitive teams trying to play good football throughout. Have to say i was very impressed by the home side considering they are all about 12 The end result was probably fair however perranwell had a Penalty with 10sec to go which the Holmans keeper Adam Batchelor saved. Big sigh of relief heard from the visiting side lol

Shifty Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 FHFL 1 @ 1st November 2008 Only 3 games played today as Junior Cup. Mawnan go top, Big result for Stithians
Miles from home Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Cury 5 - Hayle 3 scoreline flattered hayle a bit,1st half was a bit scrappy with not many chances but was well fought,2nd half was dominated by cury with graham cooke keeping up his goal scoring tally with another hattrick
Richard Chown Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 FHFL 2 Table @ 01/11/08 FHFL 3 @ 01/11/08 Well done to Carharrack Res, keep it going lads
Guest Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Troon afc Reserves : 3 Frogpool Cusgarne: 1 A good game. Played in good spirits. Without sounding biased, We should have at least won 5-1 had it not being for me missing 2 one on ones. One I put narrowly to the right of the post, the second, trying to be cocky and chip the keeper, only for it o go straight at him. Troon scorers: Mikey Catteral: 1 Dave Bartlam: 2 Frogpool scorer: Own Goal after a goal mouth scramble
Pete Tully Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Falmouth Ath res 1 Wendron IV 3 HT 1-1 Hard fought game played on the top pitch at Dracena. We were poor 1st half by our own standards, panicing, indecisive and poor passing allowed athletic to come at us, prob deserving to take the lead altho it was a freak own goal, our centre back making a last ditch tackle that then shot past our keeper from 25 yards. This shocked us into starting to play better, eventually getting an equaliser from a header at the backpost from a free kick. In the 2nd half we pressured them more, but it took our sub to get the winning goals following great persistance and pressure on the defenders and keeper. Athletic never gave up and kept coming at us, shooting just wide on a couple of ocassions, also our keeper making a couple of good saves. Many thanks for the hospitality guys. Scorers: Rob Bevington 1, James Chillman 2 Man of match: Pete Tully Donkey of the Day: James Collins Massive game at home next week to Trispen Pete
Mike C Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Fair statement of the game there Pete. Credit to you and Wendron. Agree 1st half we took the game to you and it worked. But we were poor 2nd half and you deserved the win with a few errors by us. Have to say we were missing 5 of our normal starting 11. Take it easy guys and best of luck for the season.
