Anita Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 35 ladies dined in style at The Peterville Inn St Agnes on Friday as St Agnes AFC held a Ladies Only meal evening. Brave scantily clad members of the club donned their bow ties and waited at the tables full of ladies serving canapes, main meals and sweets. The evening was to raise funds for St Agnes AFC and the local Out Of School Club. The good sported waiters entered fully into the spirit of the evening fetching and carrying drinks, clearing tables and entertaining the ladies in true St Agnes AFC fashion! During the evening a forwards and backwards raffle was held and a mini auction raising £400 to be split equally between the two causes. Waiter Darren Murrish commented," That was well scary to begin with but really quite good fun." whilst a terrified Tom Benney said," I am not going in there again!" Laura the landlady of The Peterville Inn said,"The boys were absolutely brilliant, great sports and good fun!" In thanking everyone at the conclusion of the evening Club Chairman Mandy Kimmins said,"The evening has been excellent, thank you to The Peterville Inn for hosting this event for us and providing such a lovely meal, to everyone who attended or supported with prizes and auction lots but most of all to our waiters for their great efforts and clubmanship in helping tonight to raise valuable funds for both our club and the Out of School Club."
