SuperCooper
The St Austell game finished 5-1, Buckfastleigh Rangers sneaked one just before the final whistle, St Austell totally dominated the game a lapse in St Austell defence gifted them the goal, apart from this the back four was excellent, the midfield ran their socks off and Nanks and Bods done the business as usual. cornishteddyboy
Heard it was Liskeard 1-3 Penzance Good away win at a Premier League side for the Magpies. Also in the league Hayle beat Porthleven 3-1 which also helps the Magpies at the top of the division.

The Gooner
Dobwalls held the mighty Bodmin for 120 minutes only to lose out on penalties. I was away at the weekend and only saw the result yesterday. Did anyone go to the match and if so what sort of game was it?

pete dillon
Saw the Dobwalls v Bodmin cup tie Gooner and have to say it was two hours plus of non-stop entertainment, drama, end to end football controversy, a brilliant goal by Dan Tapper even though the Indy completely omitted to mention it yesterday and a very good and very noisy crowd. Bodmin took the lead through O'Hagan's header from a gilbert cross after three minutes and I think some of the visiting support thought Dobwalls were going to be an easy touch but after 18mins the home side had turned it all around firstly through Martin Hakes well taken drive and then Tapper's free-kick which left ex premiership keeper Miller grasping air.....the first half lasting nearly an hour due to several injury stoppages - the game being well contested and competitive....one collision between Mcpherson of Dobwalls and player manager Gilbert of Bodmin resulted in Gilbert having to be stretchered off and substituted and in receipt of a somewhat harsh yellow card which when he returned to the dugout in the second half resulted in a second yellow for dissent - Flynn also receiving his marching orders for contesting the decision. Chambers headed Bodmin level within three minutes of the restart and despite a number of near misses and a few more yellows and a second stretcher case (Mcpherson of Dobwalls) the game went into extra time and despite being down to ten men it has to be said that Bodmin did well to prevent the home side from making the extra man advantage tell and even may have won it themselves when Ovens crashed a shot against the bar....it was exhilirating stuff eventually going to penalties and when O'Hagan blasted over the first spot kick Dobwalls hopes were high of pulling off a shock but than Miller saved superbly from Bartlett and although Man of the match Tapper and Jeff Dillon whose contest throughout the game with O'Hagan had been an entertaining feature - had beaten Miller with their penalties Bodmin converted their kicks whilst Miller saved again from Andrew Davey to send Bodmin through - nevertheless a great spectacle and the Dobwalls lads certainly did their club proud. An early shower together hey, that may be difficult as ive heard from 3 different sources now that Flynn is soon to be following Alan Carey to Mullion. Anyone else heard that one on the rumour mill yet?
Guest ECPL Supporter
Not heard it but said when i heard Carey was there that Flynn would follow so wouldn't surprise me.
Dave Deacon
I see that Mark Hayman, the League's vice-chairman, had a busy time at Saturday's tie between Galmpton and Torpoint. "The game saw an extended half-time break as referee Dave Brown had to be taken to hospital, resulting in assistant referee Roger Mills taking over in the middle with Mark Hayman, the Peninsula League vice-chairman, running the line." Then presumably Mark had to ensure the 3rd draw was above scrutiny! :clapper:
Guest plainmoor
Not heard it but said when i heard Carey was there that Flynn would follow so wouldn't surprise me. Doesn't Mr. Flynn own a caravan park down in Mullion? makes a mockery when people say players from plymouth only travel down to cornwall for the money, I'm sure Mr. Flynn has to travel at least a 120 mile round trip to get to Bodmin. The Gooner
Thanks for the report Pete, it looks like it was a cracking game. The players and management must be delighted with their display. Hopefully their confidence will be greatly enhanced which will bode well for the rest of the season.
