Coopsie Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Well it'll do for me anyway, it is bloody coincidental http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...s.html?ITO=1490
midfield Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 I think that's incredible. He's been there for that long and never been on the winning side! :o
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 ...And I finally realise why my Fantasy Football side isn't performing to it's capabilities..... Bale has been in the side from the start of the season....... but then again, so has Gomes & Darren Bent, blind faith is a beautiful thing!
Guest crosser Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 and there was me thinking it was just down to the fact that your not very good!! :P
somersetspur Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Yet when I watch Gareth Bale on the International stage for Wales,he looks world class. Lets hope Ramos gives him a rest today then.? Trouble is,it is either Essou Akooto or Gilberto, not keen on them two.
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 But Hutton's back, and there's no excuses today, probably our strongest line-up.
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Oh dear,Bale is playing. Well, for 15 mins he did...... then the curse has struck again!! But as I type, Bent has got the equaliser.... C'mon lads could be a massive turning point in the season.
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 I reckon we're gonna get 100 mins as well, game held up for ages while Corluka got treatment. It all happens at the Britannia!
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Well that will keep the newspapers busy this week!!! I think the Bale curse is getting stronger! :o
Guest 5legs Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 well if the bale curse is true then thankfully he will be suspended now but im afraid even thats not goin to help us now as i believe we are heading to the championship :(
Anita Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Chin up lads, the seasons still pretty young. At least you can smile knowing that West Ham fell to Hull too :drink:
Guest Peppermint Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Never mind Somersetspur you can now concentrate on your one man crusade to save the reputation of Truro City!!!!! I think Spurs are getting to the point of Championship Football is the next stop!!!
Peck1961 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 It's all gonna be alright, I've had a premonition! After a lucky draw against Bolton at home, we go to the Emirates for the 'North' London derby with Juande's job on the line.... and in the last minute, with the score 1-1, we get a free kick just outside their box and up steps David Bentley to score a curler in the top corner to silence the Arsenal boo-boys! To follow this up, the week after we're 1-0 down, at home to Liverpool, when Rafa brings on Robbie Keane to rub salt in the wounds, however little does he realise that Robbie is on a secret mission to rescue OUR season and proceeds to score two spectacular own goals in front of the Paxton Road end, celebrating both goals by doing his customary cartwheel and guns celebration! We go on to win 2-1 and remain unbeaten for the rest of the season, pipping Arsenal on the last day of the season to 4th position, after half their squad were forced to pull out of their last match with food poisoning! Get down the bookies now people, while I check into the loony farm!

midfield Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Joking apart, Spurs and Newcastle have problems with these "Directors of Football". Is it a coincidence? I can't see Wenger or Ferguson putting up with a situation like that.
Coopsie Posted October 20, 2008 Author Report Posted October 20, 2008 ONCE AGAIN, SIR ALCY FERGUSON IS UPTO HIS TRICKS, BUT THE PROBLEM FOR SPURS COULD WELL SOON BE SOMEBODY ELSES?? http://www.lep.co.uk/national-football/Uni...star.4607095.jp
cornish-blue Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 whilst watching inside sport last night it was said spurs had a turn around of 84 players in the last 4 years,, this since the current director of football has been there, i sure this must have something to do with it same problem when jose was at chelsea and we brought that muppet arnsen from spurs, they never got on and caused friction

Speaks for itself.
Peck1961 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I think there's something in the Bale jinx!!! Firstly he's suspended on Sunday when we get our first win of the season, and tonight Harry substituted him when Arsenal were 2-1 up, we finish up drawing 4-4! Tis bl**dy spooky!
r_and_l Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I think there's something in the Bale jinx!!! You will be pleased in january when he leaves for man utd then!! :P
Guest 5legs Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 that boy bale strikes again.that is an unbelievable record he has playing for us. i bet other teams love it when they see his name on the teamsheet as they know they are guaranteed at least a point from the game. his fortunes have got to change soon haven't they???????????
Guest 5legs Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 yet again no bale today & we pick up 3 points! he must have broken some mirrors when he was younger to have all the bad luck he's got.
Peck1961 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Still no League win for young Gareth in a Spurs shirt, and I think the curse is getting stronger!!! Yesterday's match seen Mr Bale start, Pompey go 1-0 up...... then Gareth gets substituted in the 68th minute and Spurs equalise in the 69th minute!!! This jinx is really starting to freak me out!
