Pitty
holmans were a very good team today and had athletic pinned back for long periods will definately take points off a few teams at their ground. good reffing by pete grenfell not that he had alot to do! Good even game between two sides who liked to pass the ball around. Holmans conceeded an early goal and a 2nd after half time. Managed to get one back through Tarik Kalkan and had a chance to level with 10 to go however Athletic defended well and secured the 3 points. Disapointed with the result but it was a close game and hopefully will bounce back against Helston next week. Thanks to all the Athletic lads for coming in for a pint after the game and enjoying the sunshine on holmans alfresco dining area!!! Guest Spenny
Well played Perranwell, played well after the first 15 mins and apart from comin under huge pressure in the last 15 deserved their win. Although 4 goals came from individual errors from chace players and you cant do that against anyone and still get a result. Great win athletic at holmans. Deano
To be fair Chacewater did'nt really turn up untill the last 10/15 mins when they started to play nice football and put Perranwells backs to the wall and got 2 goals!!! There was alot of petty bitching going on in the Chacewater team but then when you are on a losing streak that does happen. As for Perranwell we have shocked ourselfs with the 4 unbeaten and with a few unproven players that have made the step up from Youth football and a few players leaving during the close season we really have pulled together and that shows in our results!!! Mawnan away next week will test us!!
