billym Posted September 8, 2008 Report Share Posted September 8, 2008 WENDRON 1 - 2 CURY. VERY GOOD HONEST GAME OF FOOTBALL. BY BOTH TEAMS A GAME OF TWO HALFS. WENDRON ON TOP IN THE FIRST. AND THEN CURY WERE TO STRONG FOR WENDRON IN THE SECOND HALF. WELL DONE TO THE TWO LADS WHO RUN THE LINE. AND THE REF NIGEL NICHOLLS . WHO HAD AN EXCELLENT GAME. THE GAME CAME TO A HALT JUST BEFORE THE REF BLEW UP. TWO LADS CLASHED THERE HEADS. THE WENDRON LAD JUSTIN ROSZELL WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. (HOPE) EVERYTHING IS OK WITH HIM. BUT THE LIGHT HAD DETERIATED QUITE BAD QUITE QUICKLY. THERE IS STILL ONE WEEK OF EVENING GAMES TO GO. MAYBE TEAMS WOULD BE WISE TO TRY AND KICK OFF ASAP AND TURN ROUND WITH ONLY 5 MINS AT HALFTIME. :thumbsup: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Miles from home Posted September 8, 2008 Report Share Posted September 8, 2008 The light did fade very quickly tonight,We(Cury) have a game next monday night as well,cant see there being enough light if we kick off at 6.15 again and the weather is poor. Really enjoyed the game tonight,we were poor in the first half and were probably a touch lucky to only go in at the half 1 down but the second half we showed the fight and togetherness that as a team we know is there.3penaltys,a sending off made it an entertaining game.
