Mining 1:

St.Just 3-0 Halsetown

A good solid display from a battleing St.Just side, strengthened by the 3 returning cricketers (stupid game).

16 year old Jack willis with an exceptional display in centre midfield, and scored good goals aswell. The St.Just defence with a combined age of 166 between the 4 of them were hard to get past.

yes got to agree first half couldnt see anything but halsetown win but st just kept battling and hung in, but second half once st just scored we huffed and puffed but never got a shot on target, also kept knocking ball down centre to give centre halfs heading practice, we will play worse and win, well done st just.

Portrearh res. 6 Titans 1

playing with the wind in the first half play was scrappy from both teams.titans took the lead from gavin pedley from a volley just outside the 6 yard box. after this titans tried their hardest to give portreath a goal which duly came from a mistake in defence. half time 1-1.to qoute bundy after about 10 mins of the second half" they are still in the changing rooms lets get at them" portreath were then wrongly awarded a penalty by both the ref and his assistant (me) when a titans defender dived in at rob hoskins who got up off the floor amazed that a penalty had been awarded and said no it was'nt to late damage done.portreath scored a quick goal after converting the penalty which was the goal of the game. the 5th goal was headed into his own goal by a titans defender from a corner and by this stage the game was over but credit to the titan players for not giving up and playing to the end.well done to portreath and good luck for the season.

one other dissapointing thing for us was that not one portreath player went back for a drink after the game. thanks to messers opie and mead for entertaining us and listening to jewellers jokes.

i would like to say welldone to the young ref. liam mankee who at 16years did a good job in what was at times a physical game i think it was only his third game at mens football.

WELL DONE LIAM "RESPECT" :c:

if your at clijah andy mead does a mean cup of tea (when he remembers the milk)
