TimmyRaa
Saltash 3 Witheridge 2 Good physical game. Both teams missed a hatful of goals, but i think the Ashes had the most chances. Scorers for Saltash Glenn Palmer, Carlton Farnham and Shaun Manley

Crouchy
we got a clean sheet Bods so you have your two goals mate! G were very good footballing side but lacked any penetration, particularly second half when I don't reckon they troubled Gary P once. Well earned three points for Real St.Ozzel
derek martyn
Behave youself Dermott, how on this earth can you say that Gary Cornish refereed the game well. He was an absolute embarassement today, and not for the first time when refereeing Godolphin. I am not blaming him for our defeat because we lost the game in the first ten minutes because we conceded two soft goals which was entirely our own fault so we hold our hands up and do not blame the referee. However, for the good of the game we must call a spade a spade as everybody from both teams agreed in the Club house after the game from both Clubs that the referee had an absolute stinker. For you to come on this website and big up a referee for that performance you are insulting everybodys intelegence who watched the game and are decieving those who didn't see it !!! Guest Dermot
Bods,i agree with you and thought the Ref had a good game, and being a Ref myself if I wish I could get through my games making only 1 `bad`? mistake I would be more than happy as I am sure most players would be as well. Refs get a split second to blow and give a decision, the Godolphin player was caught late with a strong challenge and the ball did break free but at the end of the day the Ref is there to insure the safety of the players,I shouldnt have to come on here and defend Refs or in Dereks words `big them up`but I am sure Derek will have the decency to let me know his feelings face to face instead of putting it on this site for all to read eh ? Oh and its Dermot with 1 t. ;)
Bazzer
Hi Dermot How can you afford time to go and watch Godolphin,I thought there was a shortage of refs. Regards Bazzer
Guest Dermot
Hi Bazzer, I Had a Cartilage Op a couple of weeks ago and will be out of action until the end of September. The Godolphin pitch is at the back of my house so its easy to pop out and watch the games, might come and watch a Newquay game now I am OK to drive. ;0) :c:
derek martyn
Don't take it personal Dermot. I was expressing my strong views because our Club has consistently been short changed in the key decisions by the same referee. We all know that these things level themselves out in the long run but it is infuriating when an experienced referee makes the kind of mistakes we saw on Saturday. It was a bit like my striker making the mistake of taking a penalty which hits the corner flag, u don't expect it to happen !

Gary Cornish
Good to see you on Saturday Dermot. Glad the operation was successful, & you'll soon be back whistling. Thanks for your honest & educated opinion. Probably the only one worth taking notice of to. Blinkered, & way too many inaccuracies in the other one. For the record, 1st goal scored on 1 min 27 secs, 2nd goal scored on 4 min 45 secs. :c:
