Cornish New Boys 9 Madron Res. 2 (H/T 5-1)

Madron coach turned up 15 minutes before kick-off, unfortunately the referee failed to show at all :SM_carton:

Its understandable that some matches are played without referees, with the current lack of officials, but its dissapointing that this ref or anyone else failed to notify the home side of their re-appointment or unavailability

The match did'nt really flow due to consistent moaning and dissent from the away team, culminating in the sending off of Madron's Player Manager and one other caution!

New Boys will be dissapointed to concede the 2 goals and not reach double figures to the depleted Madron side, buts its now 2 wins out of 2 :clapper:

sennon 4 titans 3

in what will be our longest journey of the season it was dissapointing to come away with no points from an evenly contested game.

titans started slowly allowing sennon to score an early goal.both sides seemed to panic on the ball resulting in some scrappy play from both teams.titans then came back into the game and equalised through pete barnes after some good passing from several players.this seemed to settle the titans down until half time.

as usual when a team ends the half well they start slowly in the second half and before we knew it titans were 3-1 down. after making a few changes to the formation titans played some more good football and drew level with two well worked goals from tom milburn and kevin eddy.

all this good work was undone when titans conceeded a goal in the fourth minute of time added on.

these things happen in football.on to our next game away to portreath on wednesday.

thanks to sennon for their hospitality and see you at ours :c:

Newlyn Non - Athletico Res. 2 - Trevenson Res. 1

A real disappointing result for the travelling side who, with a few players missing, paid the price for being a little light weight up top. We had the majority of the posession in the first half without creating any clear cut chances. Two wayward long range hits from Paul and James and a headed effort from Shaun Wilkins which was well saved by the home 'keeper all we had to really show. Most of Newlyns attacking play was coming on the break and running through to 'man of the match' visiting 'keeper Nathan Hick. However it was the home side that went in at the break 1 up after centre half Howard got the ball caught under his feet and the ball was nicked away, crossed and knocked in. Second half was more open and end to end, Newlyn gaining confidence from some good attacking play and Trevenson looking more threatening going forward. Trevenson were awarded a penalty when Shaun Wilkins chased a through ball and was clattered by the 'keeper. Shaun had the penalty himself and put it away to the 'keepers right side. The game was still being played at a good pace despite the humidity with both sides having chances notably a cracking hit from Spencer Osbourn that was on target only to hit Shaun and go wide! Newlyns winner came with about 20 mins to play when a mix up between Howard, Robbie Bailey and Nathan seen there striker get his head on the ball and drop in the net.

Troon 3 ST Just 0

This was a poor performance by Troon but they still managed to get 3 points and a clean sheet so not all bad!!

Troon donimated from the kick off and Danny Bell was outstanding in the first half creating chances for himself and the rest of the team. Shane richards was dangerous from the start also and his class was out classing the ST Just defence and that showed on the 24th minute when good work from Scott Grant and James reynolds paid off when Scott put a ball over the defence for Shane to run onto and then chip the keeper from just inside the box. St Just's keeper always seemed to be in the right place at the right time for his side and stopped efforts from danny bell and shane richards, richie ward had a free header 30 mins into the game but the keeper yet again was there to keep it out!! good work from Danny bell again put in shane and he took the ball around the keeper to make it 2-0 just before half time.

Troon came out of the changing rooms as if they had given up on getting more goals and were poor for the whole of the secondn half, credit to ST Just as they never gave up the chase, but didnt trouble the troon defence and the troon keeper didnt have one save to make. on 75mins Jamie Marles picked the ball up from a goal kick and then slotted in richie ward who finished brilliantly into the top corner from 10yards out.

All in all a dissapointing performance from the troon army but another 3 points, and another clean sheet. Trevenson at home on tuesday night, should be a good game!!!

Man of the match Shane Richards/Darren Mitchell.........donkey of the game.........stuart smeeth......missed a open goal from 1 yard..!!! lol

roll on the troon army!!!!

You played a team of 5 men over 43 and 6 boys aged 18 and under, yet struggled to dominate the game. You must try harder :P

Yep game 2 and we lost 5-0 to a good Four Lanes side. 2 Pens a deflected shot and one of those crosses that go in the far top corner.

That said we only had 2 chances ourselves and only 10 minutes of the game.

Good bunch of guys however and the food at the pub was much appreciated.

Personally I have a bit to do and will need to strengthen but I guess you guys knew that anyway.

Roll on St Buryan!

Wendron 5ths 5 - Pendeen Res 4 H/T 3-4

Def game of 2 halves, we were 4-1 down after 30 mins, terrible performance. Pendeen had huge gaps to exploit and did with great effect. We managed to pull back 2 just before half time. 2nd half we were far more organsied and took the game to Pendeen and managed to pull it round.

Ref was not as his best to say the least, but good physical game, many thanks to the Pendeen players

Wendron scorers - Ricky Wickes, Ryan Tressider, Ryan Lewis, James Ferris, OG
