Jimbo
Falmouth proved to be good stiff opposition in what will be Newquay's final pre season game before the important League fixtures start on Saturday. As Mount Wise was being repaired after Saturday's game the fixture was moved to Treviglas School. Unfortunately the grass was far too long which didn't help either side. Both teams tried to play good football but the surface was a major factor in the game. Newquay took an early lead when Lee Bradd shot across the goalkeeper for his 5th goal in 3 games. Newquay had several chances in the first half but failed to capitalise on any of them. Early in the second half Dave Rabone scored and added a second shortly after. Josh Harris scored a fourth before Rabone had his penalty saved preventing him from his first hat trick since his return to the club. Falmouth gave a very commited and at times fiesty performance and in truth it was just what Newquay needed. Good luck to our opponents in the Falmouth Helston League this season.
