Jonah
The funeral of the late Ian Butcher will take place at Chacewater Church on Thursday the 14th of August at 12.30. Ian, was the father of Greg and Andrew, but he sadly died last week. Greg and Andrew have played for a number of clubs between them over the past few years (St Agnes, Truro, St Blazey, Penryn, Helston and Goonhavern) as well as being involved with the Cornwall squad. Ian and his Wife Jean would always be seen on a Saturday afternoon watching one, or ideally, both of their sons playing. Ian was a former Chief in the Royal Navy (where I first met him), he was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed. The family have asked me to post this on here and have said that anybody who wishes to pay their last respects are more than welcome. The funeral will be followed by a wake held at Chacewater Village hall. Jonah
Mandy K Aggiemaid
Thanks Jonah - we will be there and will spread the news to others that we also hope will come to pay their respects and support the family. Do you by any chance know if it is flowers or donations for anything particular please? I know I will see you later but if its flowers I would like to send something from the club - if not we will give a donation as appropriate. St Darren
Will be there as well, A great man who was always watching football, always good for a laugh at his boys expense most of the time. I'm sure the Butchy's still owe the old man for fines from a few years ago! Sadly missed

Guest AlanB
Mandy - I believe it is flowers from family only, but donations to Cancer Research would be appreciated and a collection box will be available in the church for that purpose.
