Guest omerta
In atrocious conditions Wendron defeated an impressive Robartes Arms 3-2 at underlane with new managers paul murray and tony pentecost making it 5 wins and 2 draws from there 7 psf. With the remit of the new job being to improve on last years league position the players and supporters look forward to next saturdays opener at home to holmans with renewed optimism with the core of the squad retained plus 5 new faces brought in from junior football we are under no illusions we will need to be at our best just to be competitive but with a newly installed discipline and comittment to the cause our targets are achievable ;)

Jamo
Well said Tucks! after our combo teams last seasons performance, a good pre season string of results is a good confidence booster no matter what the level of opposition! i know elsewhere on the forum its also been quoted as wendron playing lower level oposition in pre season, lets not forget that Paul and Tony were also trying out lads at Wendron in the friendlies that play in the lower leagues also and was giving them a chance to show what they can do moving up to combo side so its cant be said it was a full combo team even playing against lower oposition can it really! anyway well done in the results and see you at Underlane next week probably!
