JEFF DILLON AND FOXHOLE FC

Recommended Posts

On behalf of Jeff I would just like to clear up the situation for those at Foxhole who might not be aware that he has now left the club due to what appears to be an assumption that owing to the fact he has been unable to commit very much to pre season due to work and in particular a family bereavement of which the club was made aware and then together with rumours in a local paper and on the grapevine that he was moving elsewhere he has never committed or signed up for anyone this season and is diasppointed that he was not shown the respect and consideration from the management that his efforts over the past five seasons including three championships deserved. He can but summise that his outspoken comments about some aspects of standards last season may have had something to do with it but it is good to talk and thrash out problems and when you are a winner and have played in good company for a while you set standards high and it comes as a let down when others do not meet or appear to want to meet them. Anyway life moves on and Jeff is now looking for a new challenge but he would however like to wish Foxhole FC and the excellent support base the best of luck for the future it has been a great adventure and will always be remembered with affection.

razor/gooner..... Jeff has had contact with Phil Dingle and did in fact attend training at Sticker and would have had no hesitation in joining on a regular basis but for the fact as he explained to Phil his desire to continue at CSWPL level and this is why he has now signed up for Dobwalls and played for them in a 3-1 friendly win over Elburton Villa last weekend. He has been asked by Phil though to sign for Sticker as back up I believe....but thank you both for your interest - much appreciated.

Hi Derek Yes I did get your message this morning and I have informed Jeff - and he said he would call you tonight to thank you personally for the offer - but he has now signed up for Dobwalls - but he would have been more than happy to have played at Godolphin and unlike some plays for the love of the game and the club in question not for the money - once again many thanks and good luck for the season.
