Jimbo
In very warm conditions Newquay won against a very competetive ECS side. Newquay was gifted the first goal after 15 minutes when an Andy Miles effort from 40 yards was bundled into his net by the opposition keeper. 5 minutes later Jack Hunter scored with a free kick that took a slight deflection and which the keeper again failed to deal with. Newquay always looked dangerous on the break and the defence looked solid. With 10 minutes of the game remaining ECS scored through a Tomlinson overhead kick. Newquay went straight back up the other end and Perry Harvey scored with a bullet header from a Steve Kellow corner. Newquay suffered a couple of injury blows but this should give others an opportunity of securing a place in the squad. Another very good work out.
