Guest Ronin
Perranporth AFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Goslling and 'Rusty' Rowsen as joint first team player/managers for the 2008/09 season Ian, who lives in Perranporth, is a great friend of the club and he and Rusty are looking forward to taking the team forward following on from their successes at Truro City. They will be assisted by Steve Brown Ed Ansell, who has done a fantastic job as manager of the first team for the last 9 years, will take over Perranporth Reserves with Micky Lane as joint manager. Everyone at Perranporth is very excited about the news and are looking forward to pushing forward and building on this season's achievements. With two games left this season the players are looking forward to a short break until pre-season training starts in mid-June. Welcome Gossie, Rusty & Steve - we can't wait to get stuck in!!!! :yahoo:
isaac rosenberg
You can't wait to get stuck in ? I am unclear whether your past participle is to be read in active or passive mood: perhaps both, simultaneously ? Stuck in, Ronin ? Stuck in what, exactly ? Or should I say whom ? Or do you mean by whom ? I know the dunes host many rum events and I am sure that you are seeking to make Rusty and his team welcome, but I fear such forthright rusticity may frighten the poor lads off. There's such a thing as too much Giant Bolster ! Why not invite Anita as well and make a party of it ? Perhaps "Cornish Soccer" could arrange a photographer. There's a lot of money to be made in "Video Nasties", apparently. Having watched many St Just-Perranporth encounters, I have become a bit of an authority on this subject ! Darren Lewarne
Rodney - we don't really know each other at all, but having read your post late at night (early morning!), I cannot help but think that you are trying to be just ever so slightly disruptive! Past tense, present tense, future tense, active particle/passive ........who really cares when we are all simple folk trying to enjoy and appreciate our true passion, and the reason why we work like dogs through the week......................................to enjoy our weekends and support/play for/be involved in our local clubs. Maybe, as a non-follower of the Combo trials and tribulations I don't really understand the rivalries etc but... is there really any need to pass such scornful judgement on a comment that it appears was meant purely as a gesture of hope for the forthcoming season? Good on you Perranporth - and a cracking signing with bringing Ian Gosling on board. I enjoy your postings, and I've got no favouritism either way, but I think you're making postings for postings sake, using intellect as your weapon of choice. Let's face it - you'll never ever catch up with Coopsie, Postie Pidge et al. :D

Guest Ronin
using intellect as your weapon of choice. Not intellect Darren just a lot of long words and a dictionary. Mr Beer, I find your postings (as I have told you before) incredibly tedious, long-winded, pointless and, most of all, offensive. However, on this occasion I must congratulate you. In one fell swoop you have accused me of being some kind of ###### maniac, dune-hopping, orgy-loving maneater who possibly stars in her own home-made porn films. In some social circles that may be considered a compliment. I myself consider it slander. In the plainest possible English I would be obliged if you would not direct any more of your unintelligent comments at me, when all I am doing is using this forum for what it was intended to be used for - passing informative comments with regard to local football. Many thanks, Samantha Boston.

Stig
I find it all a bit weird, especially when you consider that Rodney Beer is a lecture and Ronin is a student, even if she wasn't, this sort of behaviour could be considered as inapropiate! I will say one think about Sam though, she makes a smashing cuppa thank you. (and see you at the Catherdral in October, don't forget your cap and gown)

Ear_2_the_ground
Any Truth in the rumour that NEXT season, Ian Gosling will be taking over/backroom support at Perranporth FC.? I have also been informed that he will have some financial backing from a family member/friend? This backer i hear is a Millionaire. Anyone 'in the know' spread some light on this speculation HA! Some of my sources are right! I also hear there is a healthy players budget. Stuck in, Ronin ? Stuck in what, exactly ? Or should I say whom ? Or do you mean by whom ? I Find that comment very disrespectful and feel it should be retracted Yet again your attempt to be humerous has again made you look very idiotic. You are the most intellectual idiot around
Mandy K Aggiemaid
Good luck to all at Perranporth AFC next season (except when the local derby's are played of course!) I too think Rod that you have gone too far with this one and I think it would be respectful and appropriate for you to apologize to Ronin - I know how hard she works at Perranporth and how much she has got 'stuck in this season - I hope your posting was meant to be clever and witty and has come out as offensive without you meaning it to but it has clearly offended and I think it would be both gentlemanly and appropriate for you to readdress it. Guest Helston Patriot
Thats his job and being professional at it. Everyone in thier jobs has a duty of care towards people who work below them (ie teacher/student). Its different posting something on here which had clearly caused offence.
