Congratulations to Mandi McCann and Torpoint Atheotic Ladies who are the new Cornwall League Division One champions after beating St Blazey yesterday 3-0 and Saltash United drawiing 1-1 at Launceston. Torpoint will take their place in South West Division One South next season.

Torpoint meet Lunceston today at HMS Raliegh ko 2pm in a league match. Their league cup match at Launceston has been arranged for anotehr day.

If Launceston win then they finish runners-up If not then Saltash will finish second and will be promoted into the South West Regional League. along with Torpoint.

Saltash play Bude Town today in the second leg of the league cup at Kimberley Stadium

Torpoint 1 v 4 Launceston ........been rumoured that Torpoint fielded a weakened team to make sure Saltash missed out on runners up trophies if they lost .

I certainly hope this was NOT the case !!!

I am sure next weeks semi final where Torpoint are 1 goal behind after 1st leg will be fiercly competetive .

You got that one wrong zebedee. The only player missing was centre half Emma Jenks who was ill. And that was a big, big loss. Torpoint were very poor but they had no answer when Launceston scored three comical goals in about 5/6 minutes. Launceston finish in second place behind Torpoint, which was bad news for Saltash United who had hoped to go second.
