Tevez late goal today could prove to be the best point of the season for manchester united ,Going into the chelsea game with only a two point lead would be very squeaky pants time indeed but now we can afford to lose and still have the outcome of the league in our hands thanks to our better goal difference.

By the way the ref was a joke two pens utd should have had tonight,And Brad Friedel happened to have the game of his life also.

penalty shout for foul on ronaldo might of been given but it did lead to tevez has a shot

brillianty saved by friedel.

Rooney should have walked for his lunge, and he should have been booked for that theatrical dive!!

Must agree Rooney was lucky to stay on the pitch. Nearly waste high tackle from behind, :SM_carton: for that

Stayed on his feet from the intitial contact from Reid, then decided to dive to the ground after?? :SM_carton_y: for that

. Would of got the Pen if went down earlier.

But the cornish reds always see the game differently <_<

United will beat Chelski next week anyway, so doesn't really matter whether Tevez scored yesterday or not!

Also found it very funny this morning, reading the newspapers that, in the week that Liverpool play Chelsea in the Champions League semi final, Chelsea are intending to launch a 3rd bid to sign Stevie G in the summer!

I'm sure the 'red tops' in Fleet Street thinks fans are green behind the ears, if he didn't join them the previous two times then why would he want to go to Chelsea and get bored silly, probably playing in a holding midfielder role, cos there is no way Chelsea would want to entertain their watching prawn sandwich brigade

United will win the league and then lose the Champions League final to Liverpool, you heard it here first!

In a couple of weeks you will all know who is better!

As for Stevie G............ Get a stats print out done. See who covers the most ground, wins the most tackles etc then post it on here next to the 'overrated' joke! And how many goals has he scored this season? More than most premier league strikers apparently. Oh no, actually, not apparently.

No I don't support Liverpool..... and therfore not bias at all.

Its obvious Gerrard scores lots against crap team liKE waterloo and that tns side from wales the other year.

But when he can score 38 and counting like Ronaldo come back to me son.

Gerrard isn't a striker, so why should he have to score 38 goals to prove he's not overrated? He's a legend, and Liverpool wouldn't be where they are without him -- and where they are is on the brink of three finals in four years! (And don't forget the FA Cup he won with the team on his back).

Ronaldo is very good, of course, but he also gets all those pens from his flopping about -- the only other men who spend more time on their knees are ###### prostitutes . . . :SM_carton:

Actually, I do. Thanks to the miracle of the internet, I watch at least four to six matches a weekend (or replayed later during the week), plus the review/discussion/highlight shows. Okay, okay, not every game, but enough to feel comfortable discussing the subject.

Gerrard is shite the man cant score against the big sides in the prem only the smaller clubs shite for england and as for the tackle stat that just shows liverpoo are allways on the backfoot and cant keep the ball they are gash

Mariner, you get funnier and funnier, get on stage mate!!

Ronaldo is this years player of the year without a shadow of doubt, best player in the world at the moment! how many goals has he scored against the top teams? this season was his first ever goal against Liverpool!!!

As for keeping the ball, Arsenal are the best at that! I take it you've never been to watch a prem league game or anything like that??

Still, I'll be sitting comfortably at home tonight watching the annual bye, a 2-0 lead should make us sit pretty at Stamford Bridge next week, where I will be, singing away and thinking about how to get to Moscow for under £600

Back in the 80's Ian Rush probably made more tackles than Alan Hansen! does that mean we were always on the back foot? couldn't keep the ball and were gash??

As a true Stretford End United fan I absolutly hate Liverpool and think that they are only fourth in the prem because they are the best of a poor chasing bunch, but to say that Gerrard & Torres are shite is ludicrus. As much as it pains me to say it Steven Gerrard must be the most complete central midfielder in the world. The man can tackle, pass and score and has carried an average Liverpool side to 2 champions league finals virtually single handedly. His passion for his team is what helps make him the player he is, if you took him out of Liverpool and he played for Chelsea he wouldn't be anywhere near the player he is now as he wouldn't have the same love for the club that he has for Liverpool.

Which I think is evident when he plays for england he just dosn't show the same drive and passion that he does for his beloved liverpool

  • 3 weeks later...

Just watch the Blues achieve their double by Wednesday night and remember that Rodney told you plainly it would happen four days before. The only unfortunate thing is that Wigan called off Friday night's rugby league match on the JJB pitch, but Heskey will do a job on squeaky-bum Van der Saar. 87th minute again, I fancy: although a twice-taken hotly contested penalty in the 94th minute would be an even nicer way of sending the Premiership trophy bnack home to Stamford Bridge, just to see Ferguson choking on his revolting chewing gum.
