Harrison and I witnessed goals galore tonight at Broadclose Park. Bude running out 6-2 victors in a rather entertaining games.
The first half finished 2-1 to Bude and to be honest, there was absolutely nothing in it. A penalty giving the hosts the lead a few minutes before HT perhaps was a tad unfair on Launceston.
The second however was quite clearly a half dominated by Bude. A further 4 goals were scored and a couple of absolute crackers in there.
A great win, played in front of a decent crowd of 170 and money being raised for current Bude player Gary Clarke who is suffering with serious illness at the moment.
I might have known we were in for a goal fest as the League secretary Phil Hiscox was present along with Steve Massey. Hopefully we see them back again soon if this is the fortune they bring with them.

Great to see it starting to come together at Bude under their new manager and emphasis on developing local players.

What has gone wrong at Launceston though? The last two seasons of gradual and sustained improvement results wise seems to have come to a juddering halt.

Unfortunately from what I saw a bad showing after halftime for the clarets last night. Team seems to have aged, as not a young squad no more (must be injuries or players moved on). Couple Blazey players amongst the starting team along with players from other clubs. Hope they recover as rock bottom in the league now.

Bude on the other hand I think have been threatening a scoreline like that, play nice stuff and seem to have found cutting edge. Finding their feet at this step.

Watched em earlier in the season. To be honest they looked a poor side with little invention, cohesion or threat. No disrespect, they appeared to be operating a damage limitation approach. Sadly, they currently seem to be making up the numbers.

I take it Massey was up top.. with young Hiscox dictating the proceedings from midfield 😆

Sorry, I just got this image in my head.

I was told last night they have suffered horrendously with injuries this season. Might explain why the two lads from Blazey were playing.
