mitchy07
Goonhavern v St day 3rds seriously bad day at the office for us after taking the lead however the reason for the post was to give credit to to Goonhavern who were very humble in there victory. Great guys up there both on and off the field topped of by a very welcoming clubhouse. We move on to next week. Best of luck to Goonhavern in the next round WhenboredAFC, RAPPO, Railwayman in Exile and 3 others
WhenboredAFC
Falmouth Utd vs Probus 1st A game which both teams wanted to win for their own reasons Falmouth for revenge after their 3-2 loss first game of the season against Probus. Probus for doing the double over Falmouth and to move above them in the league. First Half: Probus kick off which looked like they were playing a 352 again. They kept the ball well moving it quickly however they didn’t create many opportunities early on as Falmouth kept their shape well making it difficult to get through but it was Falmouth who took the early lead with a THUNDER C**T (apologies for my language) first time from 38yards rifled top corner 1-0 everyone in the ground was shocked but credit due ain’t no keeper saving that. Shortly after the same player had played a 40 yard trivela pass into Falmouth winger allowing him 1 on 1 to slot away and easy finish 2-0 Falmouth. Probus won a freekick which was taken and out of no where 2-1 Falmouth caught sleeping just allowed them to score but it seemed to benefit Falmouth as they went to scored another with some awesome footwork from n.10 going past the defence and nailing it in the net 3-1. End of first half, lucky for Probus as Falmouth looked like they were to score more goals. Second half: Falmouth wanted to continue their first half form and they did indeed with the LW running at the CB turning him inside out and pretty much passing the ball into the goal 4-1. The Falmouth defence were solid back pocketing their captain not really getting a sniff at goal. Falmouth scored their 5th with beautiful play down the right hand side cutting it back for their striker to place it into the corner 5-1, HOWEVER the tables had turned. Probus had a corner which wasn’t cleared well by Falmouth and took a massive deflection and ended up in the net 5-2 (Come back on👀) what happens next was definitely not what Falmouth wanted as they conceded 2 really good goals making it 5-4. Both goals very similar very tidy finishes and now the pressure is on 10 minutes left! it seemed like Probus was going to grab the goal but NUMBER 10 out of nowhere picks the ball up gains a couple of yards and unleashes a cannon from the edge of the box 6-4 GAME OVER! I would like to add Falmouth Keeper pulled off 2 big big saves just as important as goals and both chances could have drawn Probus level at the time 2-2 and 5-5 so well done to him! Thank you to the ref for taking his time today! Like to thank Probus for 2 enjoyable games.
