JUNIOR CUP

Falmouth United vs Constantine AFC

Attendance 37

The two teams meet for the first time this season however not in the league in the Junior cup. Both teams looked ready after very intense warm ups.

Tine kicked off the first half attempting to play football from the back but it only seemed to cause them mistakes and moments later Fal nicked the ball down the right wing with an overlapping RB being slotted through and he smashed it across the goal and all of a sudden 1-0. Falmouth bounced on the goal and shortly after had another, with some nice passages of play down the left side a ball been delivered into the box another mistake as a poor clearance and fell to the striker and he smashes it into the back of the next 2-0. Two minutes later Falmouth had a corner beautifully delivered back post with the CB free no one around him bullet header into the net 3-0. Falmouth high press and structure made it hard for Constantine to play football being pinned back however Falmouth score a 4th out of nowhere, as the winger tried a few times shooting on the edge of the box and once it had been blocked and fell to the striker as he’s running into it and smashed it from 30yards out into the back of the net 4-0. Round the 33minute i believe Falmouth made it 5-0 with a stunning over the top through ball from the CB allowed the winger to run in on goal placing it into the back of net. Constantine thought they had scored just before half time when the striker put the ball in the back off the net however he was 5-6 yards offside “is it cause I’m fat” words from their striker. First half 5-0

Falmouth kicked the second half off but the it seemed that they had slowed down, as they just kept playing the ball around not creating as many chances as they had done in the first half. The 6th goal come from an outrageous pass from our CMs straight through to the winger as he got the ball out his feet and buried it into the bottom corner, shortly after a similar situation the same winger came through and placed it into the bottom corner again making 7-0. Now the most bizarre moment of the game happened when the Falmouth winger had been taken out (clear penalty) however not given by the ref BUT the CB picked up the ball tried to defend his case then the ref gave it as a handball 🤦🏽‍♂️😂calmly taken by the young player 8-0. Falmouth 9th came from a long ball played and the midfielder took it around the keeper and passed it into an empty net.

Full time: Fal 9 - 0 Tine

The Tine keeper had pulled off a load of outrageous saves so credit to the man, so shout out to him he had played a great game considering the score line.

Thank you to the ref for officiating the game
