James_Wright Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 FALMOUTH TOWN RESERVES 6 KILKHAMPTON 0 A week after almost single-handedly, with bat and ball, hauling a floundering Cornwall to an improbable victory over Oxfordshire at St Just, Scott Kellow switched sports and enjoyed another Super Sunday captaining Falmouth Town to Intermediate Cup success. The Premier West champions were red hot favourites against their Division One East opponents, and took an early lead when Kian Thomas headed home Evan Tresidder's pinpoint cross from the right. Kilkhampton hit back gamely and had chances to equalise before the break. Two quick-fire strikes shortly after the turn-around sealed their fate - a fine angled drive by Jak Davies, then an own-goal. Evan Tresidder grabbed a fourth with a tidy low shot into the far corner twenty minutes from time. Kilkhampton enjoyed a late flurry with only a couple of great saves from Ethan Fearn denying them a consolation. The onslaught perhaps cost them as space opened for Davies to complete his hat-trick with a couple of fine late finishes. Jon Perrow's side, who have a Tracy Banfield Cup semi-final on Wednesday, are now half way to a possible quadruple if you include the East v West champions match. But, in Kellow's absence, Cornwall were beaten by five wickets by Buckinghamshire at Tring Park. RAPPO, Jeff Chambers, Railwayman in Exile and 3 others 5 1
