WhenboredAFC
Frogpool vs Falmouth Utd Frogpool searching for their first win of the season and Falmouth looking to continue their winning form from last weeks game Falmouth kicked the game off with a high press causing the Frogpool defenders a headache, creating numerous chances but they couldn’t hit a barn door, however Frogpool had the biggest chances of the first half with Falmouth clearing the ball off the line twice (squeaky bum time for the Falmouth players and manager) Falmouth continued peppering the “froggies” as they call themselves backline and with 10 minutes left Falmouth found themselves 1-0 with some beautiful play between the n.33 and n.10. Frogpool RB picking up the only card in the first half after a late challenge. Both keepers pulled off good saves in the half 🤝 2nd Half Frogpool kicked off and attempted to play it around the back trying to create space in the Falmouth team which turned out to be a big mistake as fal winger nicked it slotted n.33 through to make it 2-0 two minutes after kick off. Nothing really happen after that the game turned into head tennis and long ball FC. 70th minute the game turned spicy when the carded Frogpool RB coming in with a knee high challenge (second yellow for sure) however the ref suggested he got subbed to save him. Manager Mike come on with 12 minutes left and an instant impact with being played through by n.72 smashing it across goal off the inside of the post making it 3-0, moments later Mike got played through again 1 on 1 with the keeper and out of no way 2 foot from behind from the froggies CB (red card clear as day) again the ref saved their player. Referee had a great game consistent throughout the whole game (apart from the 2nd yellow and straight red opportunities) thank you to him Thank you Frogpool for hosting the game Full time: 3-0 Attendance 30+ (Once again ignore all spelling and grammar mistakes i’m thick as shit) Ball bags
justanopinion
Is that an option for the ref to ask for a player to be subbed instead of issuing cards?
Footballlover442
The ref is Wrong in law. Should have been a second yellow and a dismissal

Absolutely not! 3 hours ago, Footballlover442 said: The ref is Wrong in law. Should have been a second yellow and a dismissal 🤔 If as reported he offered a substitution instead of a yellow then yes this is egregiously wrong in law, and is quite serious really in terms of the potential outcome in this game and the next game that the player would subsequently have been suspended for. Otherwise, he may have decided it was not a yellow card in his opinion, which would not be wrong in law. He may have suggested that the player was in last chance saloon and the manager may want to take action to prevent him being sent off. Just offering possible solutions as to what may have actually occurred which can sometimes be different to what appears to have occurred, of course the report might be entirely accurate and I would suspect, now that it is out in the public domain, the referee may be asked for his comments on what happened. Batchy1
As I reffed that game I can 100% say there was no option to be subbed. Did I have a chat with the coach No. In my eyes could of been yellow but just a poorly timed but no malice. But reading this and slate the ref is just well laughable. Yes this is my first game back for having 13 months off due to open heart surgery. May be on a different day my thought process could of been different. But trying to get back into football then reading this. Well you might have lost another ref. Just think before you type or find out what really happened then report. Don't just speculate. Apologies - my speculation was in defence of you more than anything else, acknowledging also the possibility that what was written could be true! As I suggested, you didn't think it was worthy of a yellow. Case closed. As always, decisions are in the opinion of the referee. And sounds like a smart manager too, hooking a player who was obviously walking a tightrope. And as I pointed out, often what appears to happen is sometimes along way from the reality, as in this case. 👍🏻

Tom Trust
Might go to Carharrack this afternoon (Sat 31st). I just hope there aren't the usual disrespectful individuals on the touchline, blocking the view from anyone who has to sit down, shouting abuse and laughing at the efforts of BOTH sides and abusing the ref, in one case on Wed 28th leading to one individual being ordered from the playing area. Shame the club didn't have anyone to escort him from the premises completely, as should have happened. They have spoiled the last two home games for me, have no idea how inconsiderate and antisocial their conduct is and presumably wouldn't care if they did. Carharrack need to sort the problem out if they want people to come and watch their games. Any visiting followers might well be put off.
