They tried calling off last night apparently too. Maybe they didn’t have enough players who knows, you can only guess. losty 1sts 2 polzeth 5 a good performance at times but no game for our first team seems to be any easier than the other. Key players being out never helps any side but it’s especially tough for losty at the moment. Polzeth played some good stuff at times took their chances when they appeared. Johnny Harris got both of our goals works his backside off for the team and took his goals well
Ferraro_roche
Sounds like it’s unlucky for you Polzeath didn’t call it off , clubs don’t call games off at a whim to ruin people’s Saturday javier x

Most Duchy teams know that our pitch is probably one of (if not) the wettest around (minimal topsoil cover with a heavy clay subsoil). Since we did the cut and fill the clay underneath has now compacted which makes it very slow draining. If we get rain at the end of the week we’re generally panicking that the surface water won’t have gone through in time. Unfortunately, with a lot of damage from last Saturday and biblical rain Weds and Thurs, this Saturday came a day too soon. Ordinarily we’d have just moved it up onto our old pitch which was perfectly playable, but our Parish Council have taken one of the goal posts out as they think they’ll be imprisoned if a child gets hit by a ball on the play park! But hey, if you’re all up for wasting your time and fuel, you should have driven up and taken a look for yourself. I guess we can’t all have a Home Park quality surface like Lostwithiel and acknowledge you must have the highest standard of facilities from which to criticise others 😬 Xavier1

Well played sir. Left Peg
