Perranwell 3 - St Day 2 - a spirited fight back from a depleted Well first team saw them come from 0-2 down to nick this one with a deft penalty finish from Ketan Cooper. Red & yellow cards, some robust challenges and a couple of bad injuries, hope Luke Johnson recovers quickly from what looked like a real nasty one. Si James for the Well should also get a mention, he worked relentlessly up front on his own and was unlucky not to find himself on the scoresheet. The referee had a ‘lively’ afternoon, it’s probably best left at that!

Altarnun 2 Doms 3

A good game for the watching spectators to enjoy on Good Friday, morning kick off, end to end game, some top saves and five goals scored.

We went ahead inside 10 mins, Ben Jeffery broke through and unselfishly squared the ball for Kieran Ryall to tap home. The home sides keeper made a series of stops to keep us at bay but it was pretty end to end with the home side generally firing wide with their clearest chances.

0-1 at half time and the game still pretty much anyones. Second half and the home side drew level with a dinked finish around ten minutes after the restart, as the game continued in the same vein as the first. We regained the lead when Ryall got across the box and angled a shot back across the keeper into the net after 65 mins. 5 minutes later Altarnun drew level again with a rocket in to the stanchion, again the Nuns keeper looked to keep the home side in with a shout of the winner keeping out Waggy Searle’s sweet volley and the other end Jamie Blatchford tipped over a well placed header.

The winner was struck just inside the last ten, Kieran Prescott expertly placing a low shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner for a hard working three points and our MOTM.

Hayle 1-0 Falmouth res , good win , approx 35 watching entertaining game , home side deserved winners,  2nd half mainly played in the opposition half , but couldn't add to the goals , young players on display for both sides , if Joe and the team can add maybe a couple of experienced players for next season to help the young players it will be a good season  , some very promising youngsters for Hayle.  Pitch looking fantastic well done Simon , one downside though is no sign of the stand being rebuilt yet , and since the 3g being built no replacement of Eric Woods stand on the opposite half way line ,  fingers crossed can both be replaced for next season .
